I’ve had a 16 year relationship with my girlfriend. 9 years ago she passed suddenly. I have 2 beautiful children with her. I owned a cam corder but never really played what was on it. I had it transferred into a dvd. When I played it she was on there. Had several holidays with her family on the cam corder. I made several copies and gave them to her brothers and sisters. Every now and then I play it. I still remember the smell of her shampoo in her hair. 2 days ago was her birthday. I took her roses and sang happy birthday to her. Thank you for sharing your story.

The paralyzed father is Sam Schmidt, and he's a pretty interesting guy. He was an Indy car driver who won a race before being paralyzed in a racing accident. He is completely immobile and unfeeling from the neck down, yet he co-owns an Indy car team and has worked with a company for years to improve mobility for folks like him. He has an augmented Corvette that he can drive with movements of his head and eyes, plus a straw in his mouth to control acceleration and breaking. He regained a drivers license with that car, albeit with some limitations such as a full time passenger, and has used it for time trials at race tracks. Those robot legs are completely in line with what I know about him, as is the wit and wink.

Son and mom I can relate to that, once I came home unannounced. My mom sweeping our yard, I was shabby dressed when she saw me at the gate, she thought I was a begger and she went back to sweeping and it's only when I opened the gate she realised who I was.
