Sounds like the “weather, storms, and tornadoes” mod but more blocky and less dangerous.

similar to the mod "weather2" also known as "weather storms and tornadoes" which also has local weather any dynamic cloud but the clouds in weather2 are on a particle based system and in the 1.12.2 version of the mod there is a radar where you can track storms within a certain range of the radar (also has a you can guess by the alternate name... tornadoes [and hurricanes {and sandstorms}])

they should pair this up with a tornado mod, there's one called "weather storms and tornadoes" that adds wind physics and obviously, tornadoes.. imagine leaving your base in the plains and seeing a towering cumulonimbus cloud with a roaring tornado on the ground.. terrifying but would be an amazing sight

It's funny how people are getting amazed now of a localized weather mod, when this exact same concept has been around for over 2 years in a mod called Enhanced Weather. And the clouds look better in that mod too, but you can't see them like from 3000 blocks away though.

If mod developper can make a view in clouds like foggy and wet, and weather will depend on surrounding (like mountains and sea) it would be SOOO cool, in addition, if it would be compatable with distant horizon , and a way to make a more detailed cloud 1000x times cooler. ALSO, if you can build above cloudes , or like some type of clouds would be on different heights , or different groups and patterns of clouds could appear. Man, i wish all of this would be made.

this looks great but the constant shifting blocks look more like something out of trove or cube world than minecraft, it doesn't fix MC quite right now you need to combine this with Big Globe or ToTheMax and Distant Horizons, for massive cloud systems over massive terrain seen at massive distances
