I’ve been running Duck And Weave since day 1, and I’ve been trying to get ppl woke on it but they always brush it off lol. No one blocks that low grab and it adds a mixup and gives you time for free heat up. You can also do a mixup where you slightly hold the duck and weave stance and make them expect the low grab and then immediately press 4 to go into the ripped overhead(if you have ripped and Duck and weave both equipped). I usually do that during the end of the game to launch them and do fatal blow. It has a high success rate online 😂

Used to run Grinning Barrett before customs and yeah duck and weave was amazing. I just dont know if losing stiff armed and quad grab (in rewind's variation) is worth it.

@@dkDyno I was never used to using Stiff Arm so I never had to adjust, although I believe it’s one of his best moves especially in neutral. I typically run D&W, Expert Grappler and switch between Quad Grab or the unblockable ground pound(matchup dependent). Two bars mid screen you can take someone all the way to the corner or get more damage in the corner in general

that’s the only downside. the ripped overhead mix only really works online because its at the perfect frame where the online delay makes it hard to react :/

Duck and weave isn't worth it IMO. Losing stiff arm is a huge loss to the already mediocre neutral that Jax has, especially when the ripped launcher is superior. Not to mention that low grab is extremely unsafe. Better off with command grab, ripped, and expert grappler

Nah F3,3 into stiff arm is true and Erron gets counterhit. You could do that, or just stop at F3,3 and flawless block the sweep, just some tech to beat that.

It depends on the situation. Stiff arm is better for getting in on your opponent, which Jax needs to get solid damage. When mixed with down1 and Quad grab, it becomes a guessing game. If your opponent is reading a tik throw, and neutral ducks after d1, you can go into Stiff arm instead for a 50/50 effect. Duck weave gives you more options in exchange for less damage. It goes well with expert grappler, and of course ripped as in the Grinnin Barret variation. His stance can convert into ripped by pressing 4 if ripped is in his moveset. It allows him to go under high projectiles. Switch sides with the low attack. And the mid keeps him from being punished at -7 with pushback. It also does good chip damage. The uppercut dodges projectiles, juggles, and catches opponents that jump a lot.

@@RewindNV yeah that's what I remember from one of Ketchup and mustard's videos. Losing stiff armed puts a huge dent in his pressure and poke game. It's also a safe way to blow up flawless block attempts for his enhanced outranked string (f33,1+3).
