Visiting for Georgia. Just happened to drive by this location today, 5/9/2024. Turned around, went back and watched for a bit. Local was kind enough to explain what was happening. Pretty cool!

A couple years ago i was at the bridge hole on the Nestucca and it was this packed with boats. Everyone was grumpy from tangling lines and nobody was catching anything so i parked the boat and walked about 1/4 miles down river by the sand dunes and caught a nice 25lb king on like the 4th cast with my blue tip rainbow lure. Was pretty epic!

Robert Bennett to each their own right? Some people don’t have the opportunity to get out on a big river or have the gear to do this kind of fishing so it’s cheaper then getting a setup and boat to go wherever you want and that may be the only option they got.
