I would love to see this track be the race C with 10 laps where guys drive with GR1 Le Mans cars and they need to use all thrre tires, hard medium and soft and so it becomes strategical planning from all 20 players when they change tires and refill, that dont lose the slipstream to have chance to win the race. The lap will not be so long and booring, if car goes like over 350km/h or over 400km/h.
@jout738
@jout738 2 жыл бұрын
I mean Dodge Tomahawk X VGT as daily race A pick would be fun, when its the fastest car in the game that goes like 666km/h, so really fast laps and so 10 laps would not feel so long and so it becomes down to when change tires and when refill to get slipstream to have chance win the race, while using all hard medium and soft tires.

9:53 Assuming that aerodynamics are good enough in this game to work the same as real racing Max is working his way up the pack by taking advantage of side drafting, he's basically siphoning the draft getting as close as possible to the cars in the main line and breaking up their airflow which is essentially slowing down the main pack. This is typically how Nascar drivers make their way through the pack on superspeedways

Slipstream in racing games always works in mysterious ways. As for the sudden boost at the end, it's actually quite easy to explain: someone behind had a lot of momentum and bumped Super GT with full force, hence the happy victory. Edit: take a look at bearbionix at 18:45. He sacrificed himself and get a 2 seconds penalty so that Steve could grab the win.

The outside train works because like in NASCAR you can side draft as well as bump draft at the same time. So that’s more than one type of wind resistance being taken away. The wind is being split like a V from the forward car. You just need to be close enough to take advantage.

Idk which is more puzzling.. the guy rubbing against the wall, the guy who bump drafted him, or the guy that decided to follow him

This kind of race reminds me of that driving test mission in GT4 in the massive oval track with super slow cube cars, good times lol Generally speaking, I find oval races with completely even cars (same model, same tuning) to be the most skill-based ones because of how much you have to optimize to get 1st or get high positions consistently.

I love special stage route x in lobbies. There are different race teams who all compete. Its like a whole subculture in the gran turismo community. If you want to join you can just find lobbies labeled "street cars" under special stage route x. Its very fun imo and doesent get boring

😂Phenomenon at 9:28 was because the cars create a wake from left to right . and creeping up next to a car can give you a boost!

I got a few wins in this race, and some other close finishes. Didn't try it nearly as often as I wanted to. It's really all about patience, and finding SOMEBODY to hook up with down the straights... and in the turns. I also found not qualifying to be more beneficial most of the time.

NASCAR does have packs like this except that somewhere near the front the Shadow Realm appears, a car gets sideways, and 1/2 of the field is eliminated in a fiery crash and some back marker wins...

That last race, I wonder if they added the dynamics of side drafting like in real life? That would explain how you sucked up to the the car on your right, propelling you past the lead car. They say GT does not have side drafting, but maybe it's been applied now.

Just fyi, there is a bit of a glitch if cars go staggered into a corner. One into a wall, one into the rear quarter panel with the front quarter of the car inside, you can get a massive speed boost. Most easily replicated and the most egregious examples are at the first turn at blue moon if headed counter clockwise. Use gr.3 cars.

Black colour if you're behind to signify stealth as the opponents looks behind. Red car if you're in front to signify danger and put cars behind you off.
