I loved how MrBeast dominated the list for the entire time! It really reminded me of PewDiePie's dominance during KZbin's early stages.. MrBeast about to gain 100M really me excited! And Cosmo TV.. creeping up the daily sub list at the last second was a cool addition. Incredibly, there are 3 Spanish-speaking channels at the top, I can't believe it!! I really expected to see at least one in the top and I finally see it with my own eyes!! I loved the video!! (It would have been great if Fede Vigevani started his great growth at the beginning of 2023, thus at least taking away from Badabun the title of the Spanish-language channel with the most subscribers gained in a year)

2023 was really a banger....... From multiple creators appearing like Brent Rivera, Ben Azelart, Topper Guild, Alan Chikin Chow, ZHC, Stokes Twins, Zamzam, DaFuq!?Boom!, Mikecrack, Jess No Limit, YOLO, Fede and MrBeast almost gaining 100M that year, it's just insane! Some normal channels like Kids Diana Show or BLACKPINK appeared and I'm glad they had a few days to shine....... Sadly for the big 3 companies, they slowed down, which is a good thing now that nothing can stop MrBeast from taking the crown soon, to avenge PewDiePie, you did something amazing, Statsable, you're so wild and this one's really a masterpiece. From the bar colors, to the presentation, to the music, everything was fantastic. Keep it up!

2023: The Year That KZbin Died. Do I even need to say anything about this list? When there is only 1 good channel in the entire top 20 (I think you can guess which one) That shows that quality KZbin channels are getting taken over by horrible shorts channels that put zero effort into their content. To be honest, I would even prefer if COMPANIES still dominated the list, because at least companies put effort into their stuff, even if it doesn’t really fit on KZbin. This year is by far the worst year on KZbin EVER, and with 2024 having a horrible start, I just can’t have high hopes for this year in store.

Shorts in themselves are not the problem (apart from the fact that it's just a ripoff from TikTok), it's what those channels does with them to gain attention and popularity that is the real problem here. An another thing: While I appreciate Jimmy Donaldson as a person, I can't stand his videos on his MrBeast channel. He uses clickbaiity thumbnails, and the videos feels way too nice for me (I tried watching one of his videos, but I couldn't finish it). As nice as he is in person, MrBeast as a channel is just one of those clickbaitey channels, and for me, is no better than these shorts channels. He does the same thing as a shorts channel, but with long-form videos instead. If he wasn't as generous in person, I'm not even sure if MrBeast will be as big as right now, even with the language dub feature (I'm not even sure he would be at 100M, actually). I really miss channels like PewDiePie and the likes at number 1, which, as much as I don't really watch him either, still feels natural, and doesn't use a "nice" personality in camera. He is in his videos like he is in person (with a bit of humor and the like, to be entertaining since it was his job before retiring, but still natural), and people appreciate him like this.

It’s always interesting to me that T-Series has been slowly declining (along with other companies) since about late 2020 or 2021. The peak of T-Series in 2018 was honestly kinda crazy, with the 4 million each month in the second half of 2018, with PDP vs T-S happening too. By technicality, you could consider them each a part of the big 3, because I think it’s just kind of in general. They’re failing to achieve achievements as they would during their peaks. Yes, shorts in general aren’t bad, it’s what people do to abuse the shorts algorithm. Take LankyBox for example. The content they made deteriorated after shorts and it is honestly hard to look at, especially with all the milking of TADC and all these trends being milked dry by them. I think that the best way to stop these is just to make shorts a lot more strict. I agree. The fact that MrBeast’s videos are kind of loud towards the beginning and the thumbnails are definitely clickbait style. I get that he gives away money, but what element does that add that making clickbait thumbnails is actually okay? The language dub kinda helped MrBeast go up to how fast he grew (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, look at December 2022.), you can see in the videos MrBeast is kinda playing a persona and role and it just feels insanely staged. PewDiePie acts a lot more like himself, yes, making it feel just like a hobby instead of a full-time thing now. I know he was full-time before, but now it’s more like a hobby. I’m glad people appreciate him, with the fact that he has declined so much.

I believe MrBeast used to have less clickbait and content that was more genuine back in 2016-2018 (at the time when Pewds used to be the most subbed channel). Correct me if I'm incorrect.
