vehicle books in cars and pass and gas, random books in trash. obviously forge head books in any type workbench, mixer etc. point into lock picking for forge ahead, point in to vehicles for them. basically put a point into things the perk books are so weapon for that etc, you have points in miner 69 so hence all the tool books you find.

Wish we could have seen the working heart monitor when you met the zombie dire wolves. At the place where the bridge is out, my thought is go down into the canyon and make a jump tower, maybe a couple of blocks thick, and once you get up to bridge height, rebuild part of the missing area of bridge, at least enough to be able to ride over. Might take a couple of towers or so to support. Thanks for taking us on your adventures!

Crack a book stores, the Crack a Cafe and Crack a Book Hq (5 skullies) are the best places. Senor Drogas residence (3 skullies i think) has a room with upto 8 bookshelves, generally about 3-4 actually have books. You passed one of these houses early in the video. It was on the right at 5:02 of the video

@ 4:53 time stamp the big house on the right senor Drogas residence has bulk books also known as the book house. if you look at your skill tree it will tell you what skills to put points into to get more chance of getting the required books to level that particular skill.

Seriously - you get more magazines by looting news stands, mailboxes and doing those lower-tier POI's than you do by clearing a large place such as that Crack-A-Book HQ - but you get a lot either way. So you can either risk your life a lot more or a lot less.

Like drive through the towns and there's a bunch of those news stands. And for example on a random map they have the residential houses together so you can just drive around looting the mailboxes. It's harder on Navezgane because it's a small map and everything is spread out. There's only maybe 3 or 4 Crack-A-Books. But at one time the HQ building used to be loaded with those - they nerfed it way down.

Crucible is a good purchase the earlier the better, really let's you make a ton more stuff than you used to be able to. Higher end vehicles, steel tools, steel base reinforcements, etc. Now *I* want one!

End loot, any crate you have to crack open, bookshelves, mail boxes ...the only one I see you passing up are "dressers" (the ones with drawers). Technically cabinets have a strong roll for cooking books, and workstations have a strong roll for forged ahead books, but those are specific to just those 2 book series. And ya, those are _terrifying_ (I love em hehe). Good call not fighting them ;) Survive the crack a book tower? hmmm... depends on how super careful you are ;) I can think of a couple places where it would be really good to put down a block to create a fighting position, or to bravely run away for a while ;)

I believe lockpicking skill gives you better chances at the forge ahead books than the advanced engineering does because engineering boosts more books.

Points lock picking increases the chance of forge ahead books (not sure why that skill set) grease monkey for vehicles. If you look at the skill descriptions, any that say they will increase a skill will do so. Put 1 point into either heavy or light armor to increase those books as well.

Hey Daphy, if you go to the north west most side of the map you can find trader hugh and perishton. Perishton has a couple of poi's that are related to workstations and the snow biome also has a higher loot stage than the dessert. With your current loadout i'd say you just need to be careful about the bears and wolves.

The +2 stat mods go into the helmet only and you can only equip 1 at a time. If you have the patience you can switchthem in and out as needed. There are also skill mods for things like treasure hunting.

You got lucky that those two dark "things" (whatever they are) didn't attack you right away, I came to this video, because I just found one in a Tier-2 quest, Day 14, Forest Biome (honestly I don't think such a tough enemy should spawn so early in the game) and it killed me in like two bites/attacks (given I play in warrior difficulty) but still insanly damage.

Best advice i can give is take a perk into lockpicking.(just one) for some reason it betters your option for forge ahead books more than advance engineering (weird, I know but that is TFP for you) Thanks for a honest reaction on them new dire wolves. they are tanky and hit hard. so running is usually a good idea.

It's not considered cheesing if you clear the POI 🤣 The base looks good, you'll be fine. Just remember to have materials on you for repairs (and a hammer).

savage country has books but the clothes shelves and racks especially in the wasteland has a mess of legendary parts which you'll need to upgrade armor and weapons. be sure to make collect and keep a much leather, fabric and bones cause you'll need em for those higher armors and weapons require a bunch of leather and duct tape.

With the weapons you currently have & low ammo count you're odds are not good for survival. Find the smaller Crack A Book with the car wrecked into the front of store. Loads of books and only two skulls.

I guess I probably didn't even comment on the crucible question as it seemed that people had already made it pretty clear that you should buy it. The base looks like it will probably work better than last time. Not sure about why the path/posts do not seem to match up with the bottom of your scaffolding ladder/bars. Did you find a volunteer Z to test out that they path to you? Or is it the same height as last time?

Just wanted to know if you had tested to make sure they will path on it before horde night. Used to be they wouldn't go down to have to go up to get to you. Not sure if what you have counts as that.
