Plus, by using environmental factors (uneven terrain, tight spaces, etc), so can we relatively easily avoid, and/or escape large carnivorous dinosaurs, while the smaller (and some mid-sized) ones, could probably follow us, unless we barricaded windows, and locked doors.

A Tyrannosaurus rex would probably just ignore humans, as we're just not worth the energy it'd spend trying to catch. But the Allosaurs, Abelisaurs, and Dromeosaurids are in just the right size bracket to consider humans to be worth catching & eating. To me, Utahraptor is the scariest dinosaur by far. It's basically a buffed version from the already terrifying Jurassic Park velociraptors. Imagine getting lost in a forest at night, and while looking for shelter, you hear a birdlike cry. You don't know what it is, but you ignore since you think it's an owl or something like that. The cries become louder and closer to you, and then, you see that thing. It looks like a bird, but has big claws in its hands and a pretty big jaw, but a specially big claw highlights on its feet. Each one seems to be 35 centimeters long. Out of the fact it seems to be much bigger than any average adult, like 2,5 meters tall. You try to run from it, but you hear other cries just like the ones from the creature you just saw coming from behind you. You gets stunned. *You're being ambushed.* Before you even notice, one of them already knocked you down. Then it uses its big claw to tear your flesh. Finally, you die, but not before seeing the animal eating you body while you bleed do death. Pretty terrifying, if you ask me.

There are a lot of small to mid sized predators I absolutely love other than t rex. A t rex hungry for small prey would be scary enough but a pack of actual turkey sized velociraptors on the hunt for human sized prey would be absolutely menacing.

An adult T. Rex, as powerful and dangerous as they were, wouldn't really care much for humans as a food source; it's the teenagers that'll actively seek them out instead.
@connaeris82308 ай бұрын
I misread it as "it's the teenagers they'll seek out instead". Which considering how dumb teenagers are would probably be an effective hunting strategy 😂 Anyway I think the correct term for a "teenager" dinosaur is juvenile, just so you know
@SpinedLizardLagoon8 ай бұрын
@connaeris8230 Yeah I am aware, I just used "teenagers" as a more basic term for the growth stage where these animals would be hunting animals our size. I guess "sub-adult" would've sounded better, since Tyrannosaurus had a rapid growth spurt.

I’ve often thought if dinosaurs and humans, coexisted, dinosaurs would likely leave people alone, for the same reasons other animals do, but smaller ones would likely be a problem for shepherds, farmers, and travelers. Drameosaurids and pterosaurs would likely prey on livestock, and some herbivores might pose problems to crops.

If humans coexisted with dinosaurs, we would STILL be the most dangerous creatures on the planet. We would exploit them... ALL! SOME, we would domesticate as working animals, as livestock for food, and some others as pets also, of course. MANY, we would have cruelly, and relentlessly hunted, for pleasure, and sport. Driving certain ones either entirely into extinction, or at least to the point of extinction. Then, placing them on the endangered species lists. We would imprison many in zoos, and in parks, and in wildlife sanctuaries. For our own amusement. Like modern wildlife, most of them would come to instinctively fear humanity, and would likely often flee at our approach. That would also include most of the raptor species, as well. Just a thought. Peace! 🍻✌

Let's not forget juveniles of large theropods, those also were extremely capable of hunting small prey. And other things that's scary about mid-size dino predators, they wouldn't bother kill you before eating. Large ones, like T. rex or Carcharodontosauridae, one bite is more than enough to crack every bone in your body and kill you in millisecond. But every theropod above 70kg to 900kg, like modern eagles or hawks, they would just pin you down and eat your guts while you would still scream in agony.
