Personally I like reading Deku x another boy stories or doujinshi however I know that won't happen. When it comes to the actual manga and anime though I would prefer Deku with Tsuyu than Uraraka but I'm well aware that at the end of the day its the writers choice and there is nothing I can do about it. If I don't like the actual story there is fanfictions. Sadly, MHA fanfictions are the worst kind of fanfiction out there. It's the kind were the writers don't respect the original story and try 'fixing' it ignoring the intention and rules for the world MHA is in. Seriously other fandoms have them as well but with MHA it's every other story I read. Even Mary Sue stories are better.

Fanfiction is not harmful. It's harmful when they present it as canon or forces the original creator to change his work. But that shit can be made by any one and not only shipper/fanfic writers. I've been in the fanfiction side for more than 8 years. Finding good fanfiction is really not that hard (if you know how to use the filter provide by the website and do not go to read anything in wattpad who is a site clearly not made for fanfiction but independent novels, the only really good ones to read ones are on AO3 and FFnet where in the filter you can choose what kind of thing you want or don't want to read like ship, themes, warnings, etc). And about the ship who are not related, there is a thing called AU (Alternate Universe) where the fanwriter, build up the relation or make it something different (like, if Ochako and Katsuki met up as kids, Katsuki not being a loud asshole, Deku never got the quirk, or if Deku was a villain, etc.). Usually good fanfictions are more than 20,000 or 100,000 words, but you really need to like to read for it. I will admit it, I like gay ship, but it doesn't mean that I want the author to change his work, and Mineta is my boy (after Katsuki ofc). (Btw villain Deku or Deku suffering as if he was the protagonist of Re-zero are the best ones). But honestly, the fandom is shitty af. Even the Naruto fandom is not that crazyer.

Well This is a video from a youtuber who’s fan base is majorly into really not shipping :/ If you go onto tumblr, twitter, the comments of almost any other MHA KZbin video, there will be comments shipping todeku, kiribaku, etc. especially on tumblr, there are very toxic people on there that will comment on straight ship fanart saying, “cute art but why not gay?” Most of these comments are about disliking the majority of gay ships of mha on this video are because that’s the audience that Nux attracts. It’s not a representation of the entirety of the MHA fandom, yet if you go on multiple different platforms you *can* see the toxicity of it.

I’m always afraid of writing my own series because I worry how my fandom would become just because I have one person that is straight. Being real, as a MHA fan myself who has actually seen anime that doesn't hit the super popular spectrum, I have to say that it does have very good character development and world building. These are the things that make an anime S-Tier for me is the fact it takes its time developing characters and the world. Unlike the toxic fandom, I take the characters for what they are and dont insert them into my own sexual fantasies that I feel deserve to be canon (disclaimer: I do have the fantasies, but I dont send death threats to creators cause mine isn't a part of them.) I like the anime for what it is, so Nux, you'll have to add a third type of MHA fan to the list. One that likes the anime for what it was.

The anime is actually pretty good, the plot is nice, the characters have good goals and they have messages behind them. As someone who enjoys this anime I'd like to say not all of the fans are toxic, but if you put it in a percentage I'd say about 80% - 90% are. Im so happy that after 2 years, the mha fandom started to realise that they were being toxic😭 i mean, there's still many toxic people, but it's not as much as then. I think most of the toxic people are those people Who just started watching mha, or people under 13 years old. I was toxic like 1 or 2 years ago, i always hated on straight ships, and now when i sometimes watch mha gacha video's or something like that, i sometimes see those mean things i said, and then i just think about how much i changed, or how much the fandom changed, many people now support people for who they ship! And ive always hated bakudeku, and i would even get really mad when it was on my fyp,( still do sometimes, but only if i get like 10 video's on my fy of it in a row) but i now support people for who they ship, at first, bakudeku had the most toxic fandom you could imagine, but now the kiribaku shippers are getting toxic too.
