Had a match last week in casual of all enemies in a stack with perfect 9 ping rarely if ever changed. Meanwhile all of our pings were fucked and I rubber banded twice only in that match that day, both times just before dying. Rubber banding is extremely rare for me cause I pay for good connection. Not only that, a guy I faced the match prior, now on my team who had better ping than me was hitting 150ish at some points. My friend who was watching my discord stream never accuses people and rarely speaks up, was extremely suspicious of the match. They won 3-0 what a shock.

No way this exact thing actually happened to me in a game recently, my teammate clutched up and all he had to do was deactivate the defuser, and then he lagged out, his ping shot up to more than 1400, and the game timed out, im pretty certain this is either a crazy server bug or an intentional ddos style of attack that players use in the last moments so that the server doesn’t have time to register that there was a problem before the game ends. And then we lost the game as a result

Nnnnooo. Sorry. Lag / Ping issues are incremental. You’ll drop packets, shots wont hit when they should or will when they shouldn’t, people might teleport or rubber-band back and forth… At worst, you’ll get dropped entirely for having too high of a ping or a client that isn’t responding. But immediately stopping *DEAD* like that for the entire rest of the round without disconnecting? That’s a lag-switch. Enemy got salty they couldn’t handle a 4v1 and resorted to a ddos to cope, pure and simple. I consider it a victory still.

Not even close. The most insane round "and game" ever for me was back in Y2 when my duo was on a 1vs2 situation in Favela "secure mode" at 4-4. He got 1 kill and downed the other AND got injured himself. Consisting until they both died at the same time and the round ended as a draw ( can't happen anymore) So we started a new overtime round with 5-5 score. Not knowing how it works. Lost the attacking round "5-6" but managed to win the last two ending the game with a 7-6 win. Longest game in my life 😂.

For those of you who are unaware, a DDOS attack or Direct Denial Of Service attack is where a person pulls the IP of an end user or server and proceeds to send large quantities of uselessly information usualy in the form of hundreds of gigabytes to even terabytes per second, (via an IP stressing tool usualy made to stress test your router to see how much load it can take before failing) and this causes the router or in this case this games server to crash or if done right, to slow just enough to prevent people from moving just enough so they can’t diffuse the bomb, but the timer still reaches 0.
