Something that was really cool of maxace to do also is that they now include a really good quality case with the appostle, and they don't charge a penny more for it. IT'S LIKE AN ACTUAL CASE WITH A HANDLE AMD FOAM THAT CAN HOLD LIKE 5 BALISONGS. I am absolutely blown away that they did this. Add that to an already 10/10 unboxing experience, i would give it a 15/10

Most of my balisongs are from Maxace. As a European they are easier and less risky to get then anything from the USA. I own a couple of more expensive (300-400 dollar range) balisongs but I really think the serpent strikers are best for me at the moment.

2:48 - 5:37 ohhhh I was always told maxace made clones at the beginning and then turned original, that makes a lot more sense, the thing is i don't think its as based in racism, that may have spawned some comments and jokes but because of the balisong's community in specific not liking clones of their products(ive checked, we are literally the only community that cares that much. yes, people give you shit in other communities but your still allowed in the main reddit for the most part, people have literally quit making balisongs or furthering their designs and sometimes deleting their instas because people called them clones for being mildly similar of at all and i can think of a couple of instances where that has happened during some time's even recently or while I was taking a break) there is another instance that is sounding similar to maxace's story atm, kotlin posted about a knife on his instagram that's being sold on his store and because the maker is unknown he is getting bashed for making clones even though I've seen no evidence to support that yet(I've seen the makers insta, its public, and there isn't a single clone to support that theory, there is just that knife), and they bring up the selling on kotlins store who actively promote clones, bro, maxace sells on aliexpress stores that sell clones all the fuckin time, I don't see you walking around saying he clones shit, people are willing to spite a new maker just trying to make their knife known because they don't like him, I said this on the reddit post soul posted: "I've seen the makers Instagram, this is his only knife, he doesn't make clones and doesn't deserve the hate he gets for taking a deal anybody would of taken. He gets to sell on a website globally on a relatively established store when all he needs to do is send his stock in or send his knives to the address that shows up, fuck, I would of taken this deal and kotlin drives me nuts too(and he tried to get out of my partial refund) but if it meant a market internationally I would put that aside, doesn't matter if I hate the guy, you sometimes have to work with people you don't like." while I agree that "anybody would of taken that offer" was a bit of an over exaggeration, I still stand by what I said, to be offered the ability to sell your knife all over the world for a new maker would be huge, could he do that on insta? ya. but think about what he has to do on aliexpress "ohhh new order numbers, send it under this name at this address" boom its done, no semantics, not having to ask extra for shipping, just here's the money, deliver the knife, and he gets free publicity from an account bigger then him, bad publicity is still publicity, and the fact kotlin says its a secret from who its from(I already know) proves that, he just wants to sell his knife, kotlin may have been the only one that offered and he doesnt what to be associated with him maybe, that's not racism, that's hate of clones and kotlin, that's just guilt by association, which as I've said before, maxace products still sell on clone sellers stores so where's the hate for maxace? in my honest opinion, I'm willing to take L's, this is one I'm willing to take especially, yes kotlin is an ass but if its in support of a new maker, I'm willing to buy it, i just like taking risks like that, i took a large one recently in buying the log design ti knife from aliexpress, it was a lot of cash but I know both sellers because I've bought from them before, my knives got delivered and kotlin price gouges sure but mostly on the ti clones, by the makers own words these shouldn't be that much higher then 279$, I was planning on making a video on my secondary channel(here it is, shameless self promotion: kzbin.info/door/EX2erEtbbgLJjavpBkwtjw )so I have visuals and stuff and now so this can be more then a "just trust me bro", I just wanted to get my thoughts out here too. btw love your videos, your awesome, just wanted to share, have a great day will.

I actually bought one of the original Covenants when they first launched and man the controversy on the subreddit was crazy.. I was singing its praises for the construction, flipability, included hardware etc but damn the clone issue was nuts lol. So much xenophobia, that's for sure. Sadly I sold it to raise money about 2 years later and never wound up buying a V2 to compare, also bought a DMG, Banshee and channel Petrel but have since sold them all. The Apostle looks tempting but I got a Serif recently and damn.. that knife really changes your perspective on all other balisongs. I hardly flip anything else anymore lmao.

So I have an Obsidian and i really like how it feels and the look but thats all. 279€ and tap like 16 min after flipping it is just a nightmare. Second or third day i dont remeber one of the 4 carbon fiber fell out and I had to glue it back in. No locitce out of box too but thats not a big problem i do actually like it without so I can do it myself. I dont know if the quality changed I bought this like 11 months ago but if not I would strongly not recommend maxace or in particularly the obsidian. Someone out here who can tell me your own story of having a maxace knife maybe the same or a diffrent one? Imo maxace is not underrated just bad. Or maybe I was unholy unlucky.

I own couple of maxace knives great knives but terrible after sales service. I bought troug ebay Petrel and didn't come with tang pins as soon as I received tried to get tang pins because until knife arrived I was aware that they are prone to break. Seller responded that knife was shipped without spare tang pins and promised to ship me soares as soon he gets them. In meantime one of pins broke and I sended couple of emails and tried to get help from factory directly trough Facebook and Instagram but no one ever replied. I still love maxace knives tho. If anyone knows where to get zen pins for channeled Petrel I would be grateful for that information.

Hey I was wondering how to prevent rust and stop it from happening on balisongs that can get rust if anyone knows how please reply!

Put a couple drops of knife oil and use microfiber cloth to spread a thin coat over the blade. If the blade has already developed rust you may have to rub the rust out a few times until it doesn't show anymore. If the rust pit is severe it may have to be sanded down with sandpaper. Make sure you always dry the knife off well if it gets wet. Then apply a thin coat of oil/synthetic lube. If blade rusts easily do the same after any fingerprints. ( Will recommends super lube I'm sure you can find a link in his description.) If you plan on prepping food with the knife try a food grade mineral oil

As someone who personally is neutral about clones, I dont see why the Bali community would be upset about getting a FREE BALISONG especially with it being a Replicant clone, I mean, I get its a clone, but with rep clones you can customize the absolute living crap out of them and make them pretty much an authentic.
