for me he Jokic is the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER of all time in NBA History. The reason is simple: the thing he is best at is making his teammates play to their max potential. So if i am a Organisation, a coach, a player or a fan and my only goal is have the best chance of creating a winning team, i gotta pick the Joker. In even simpler terms: If we can dream up a Duo out of the all time great 25 list, I am fairly certain if you pick the Joker and pair him up with any of those great players no other Duo you can come up with would be able to beat them consistently. So if shuaq is the most DOMINAT ever, Le Brawn ist the GREATEST ever, and so on, then the Joker already is THE MOST VALUABLE ever.

We are all witnessing greatness. How often do players enter the top 15 ever conversation? Jokić is He have been saying it for years. The bubble was just a taste then Murray got hurt once we got healthy it was over. You can’t guard him he as unguardable shot with hook and floater that created 1.45 points of offense per possession only Curry has that type of shot. With the playmaking he is truly in league of his own. When watching him play it’s beautiful poerty he is a master at the game!

WE even see AD failing to defend him. How much better could KG, Hakeem, or Russell have defended him? Probably only marginally better. As for ranking playoff runs, we've had players playoffs where they went hero to dig their team out of trouble, but is that more impressive then keeping your team out of trouble in the first place? This Nuggets team is just so smooth and efficient and confident....yes, they are good players, the pieces fit, but they arent stellar all around players, this team really shouldnt have looked THIS good all year and post season.

Jokic is the goat already. He'd have to fall way the fuck off or break his leg to not surpass all those other guys. He gets triple doubles without even trying. Don't be afraid to call him the best just because he's white. Just try to realize how lucky we are to finally see good team basketball in a way that most young people have never imagined. Jokic is unbelievably good for the game of basketball

Honestly as a Denver fan my favorite thing about Jokic is he does not care about the market AT ALL. Very few small market players are content constantly making less money than they could elsewhere. But Jokic doesn't have a facebook, no twitter, no insta, no tik tok.. The guy could not care any less about fame. He just loves family and basketball. All I could ever hope for.

Well, it's impossible to rank him at this moment in time. We'll have to wait for him to retire to get a better idea of his place in NBA history. The only thing we know for sure is that his stats are absolutely ridiculous. But ! we'll have to see how many years he can keep this up. Anything can happen, he may get injured, (or his teammates) ..You never know.
@YerpDerp17
@YerpDerp17 Жыл бұрын
Sure, we never know, but all we have to go off of is his history. His history has shown he has consistently gotten better each season. I mean he started from off the bench and now has a finals MVP. lol It's pretty remarkable. And he says he knows he can get better, which I fully believe. He is at the very start of his peak. And sure, injuries are always possible, but there is so much nuance when it comes to injuries, and most players do have them eventually. The thing with Jokics game is it isn't based on athletic ability, its more of a fundemental, endurance type game. He has insane stamina for someone his size. So injuries obviously affect a persons game, but it won't have nearly the effect on his. As long as he stays passionate and takes care of his body he has a chance to have far more longevity than most big guys, simply because of how he plays.

& Murray is super valuable for similar reasons, too, tbh. Both Jokic & Murray leave the defense with few options because of the combined threat they pose. & the Nuggets apply constant pressure on the floor, as a result: when others are aware because guys can find them.

I started following the Nba as a 10 year old around 2004. Not a real fan but occasionally watching a game or two every couple of weeks. I always loved basketball but never got deep into the NBA. Then I thought to myself I need to get another sport coming into my life cause I was feeling that football (soccer for US) wasnt enough for me. Long story short - I love South Park and there they were - 'the underdogs' aka the Nuggets 😂 I mean at least at 2011 when Melo left. I didnt want to root for a superclass team and I liked Denver/Colorado/the Rockys (from pictures) so my life as a fan begun. The best thing bout the Joker was that he made the jersey number 15 so not a Melo-thing that I sometimes forget that it was their best draft pick...until 2014 and here we are champions and proud of our boys and the whole team and everyone couldnt care less bout ringless-Melo 😂

My man Jokic never had any help from his own team.. just another all star would've been a dream.. BUT Austin Reeves was no Clark Kent and poor Campasso couldn't touch the rim.. even if it was bent But now with MPJ and Murray back from recovery the boys are playing with a lot of positivity. They got the right ingredients for a legacy.. So let's wait and see

I think I’ve gotta put Jokic as the 6th best center of all time, but the run he’s been on the past 3 years might be the best ever. Kareem, Hakeem, Wilt, Russell, Shaq are the guys I have ahead of him. If he can play like he has been for 5 more years he may end up being the greatest of them all.
@michaelbietsch2864
@michaelbietsch2864 Жыл бұрын
Personally, I have Jokic as the 5th best center of all time, I personally don't count pre 80's ball in these discussions (although there is some overlap with my top 5) as it was such a vastly different product that it's impossible to fairly compare players. That being said, My list is Hakeem, Kareem, Shaq, Moses then Jokic (Jokic would be 7th counting Russel and Wilt). I have him over Robinson as the admiral was a career choker/underperformer for 90% of his post season career and was carried by Timmy for the last 10%

@TheIcemanthomas in the 1950, computers took up a whole room and had about as much computing power as a modern-day graphing calculator. Now you have a machine that's probably 6 inches long, that is hundreds of times more powerful than those 1950s computers, and it isn't even a computer. Obviously, they were all-time greats, but the rules and competition simply weren't particularly close. They didn't track so many Stats. Their playoff brackets were substantially different, no 3 point line, owners promising not to draft certain players under the table in exchange for crap like ice capade shows etc

@michaelbietsch2864
@michaelbietsch2864 Жыл бұрын
@raynordavis9117 I didn't say they couldn't. But the league has almost no footage, they had no 3 point line, they had vastly different rules, only 8 teams, half of the talent in the world was in a different league, and the average player wasn't even close to being a solid bench player today (NOT THE TOP LEVEL TALENT, IM TALKING THE AVERAGE PLAYER ON A TEAM THEN). It simply isn't possible to truly accurately compare them to modern times. Which is why I exclude them. As I said, including them jokic is 7th.

No player is unguardable. The guards are merely being paid way too much and are mailing in the effort. The NBA hasn't been worth watching for decades. The Nuggets only won because the competition was so pitiful. Jokic knows this, and that's why he's downplaying his effort during this year's playoffs. I've watched the Nuggets since before Larry Brown was coach.
