My unlucky (sort of) story: I was staying at my cousins' house in England once, and we went out to a party. My cousin bailed early because he had an assignment he wanted to work on and I agreed to meet him back at the house. At about 3am, the party died down and I left for the (roughly) one mile walk to my cousins' place. I get there and try to open the door... it's locked. Damn. I try all the windows, they're locked too. I knock on the door and ring the doorbell. Nothing. I try calling my cousin about 6 times but he doesn't answer, so I set about trying to get into his house. I probably went at it for about half an hour before giving up and spending the rest of the night at a bus shelter about 50 metres down the road (this is semi rural England I might add). At about 7am, I get a phone call from my cousin saying he's sorry he missed my calls and where was I? I tell him I'm right by his house..... he says I'm not.... he's standing outside his house now and can't see me.... Basically, I had been trying to break into a strangers' house at 3am for about half an hour. My cousins' house was 200 metres or so down the road. That was the story.

He was struck by lightning in 1918, and got knocked off his horse, and his legs were temporarily paralysed Six years later in 1924, he was struck by lightning again in Canada, when he was next to a tree, and that paralysed his right side. Then another six years later in 1930, he was struck by lightning when walking in the park and became completely paralysed. He eventually died in 1932, two years later, and then 4 years after his death, his grave was struck by lightning. Quite unfortunate.

Most unluckiest thing that's happened to me was when I was in 6th grade, riding a bike down a hill, which took a right onto another steeper hill, which ended up intersecting with a main road. Going faster than I should have I turned left, heard a car coming from around the bend, veered onto the sidewalk, hit the curb (thankfully not a square curb), flew through the air while trying to turn, hit the ground with the wheel facing the wrong way, turned too sharply, smashed my left hand into a telephone pole, did a flip, landed on my feet, did a somersault because I still had momentum, and stood back up. THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE BIKE: the left brake was jammed behind the handle bar, which was easy to fix. THE ONLY DAMAGE TO ME: a few scrapes on my hand.

We were driving in a car me and my brother, I had a hammer inside of a tool box because we were on the way to work. My brother skidded across the icy road and the car went under a ice lake. I tried to swim out but I couldn't open the door due to pressure from the cold water. I grabbed the hammer and smashed the glass window and pulled me and my brother out. My brother cut his arm on the glass that remained. I struggled getting on to the ice. My brother never learnt how to swim so he pulled at my foot. I struggled a bit but we both got up. I came out fine but my brothers hand had to be cut of due to growing frostbite, and infection of the water.

My Most Unluckiest Moment was when my mom and I were involved in a very bad car accident this past summer. My mom hit another car, totaling our van, and the driver of the other car is now suing us. Luckily, my mom and I walked away with only sore muscles and some bruises but it was very scary considering that I had never been in a car accident before that.
