@@edwardcapobianco2975 No, I'm a Southern California native. But we have lots of these transplanted from your neighborhoods. Sadly California has a bad reputation for nuts, criminals and perverts. Most of them come from out of state. The Pelosi/Newsom (Gavin is her nephew) come from Baltimore and the gaggle of Leftist Hollyweird Jews usually originate in New York. Quentin Tarentino and Chuck Norris are among the few I actually know were definitely raised in my neighborhood , from personal knowledge. My ancestors emigrated here before Hollywood existed, in the 1800's, and I've worked as an aerospace engineer as does my brother. We natives are actually pretty vanilla normal. Up until the 1930's, when my parents were babies, we used to hang captured bad men pretty quickly and any Mafiosi here must have kept a very low profile. Outside of the West Side by the Malibu coast, north of me; the Santa Monica to Glendale Corridor and the southern San Fernando Valley; and the hell that the largely Black areas of South LA, where my dad grew up, have become we're pretty normal and law abiding. Nothing at all like the movies. Large Italian and Jewish guys in track suits and pinkie rings attract attention. Even a fairly straight reformed guy like Michael Franzese stands out in his Newport Beach neighborhood.

I got a bunch of sh*t for saying about that group that the claims of 'organized' crime were completely untrue based upon my own observations. I think that one zing got them more than anything. These sort of organizations are not always staffed by the kids who finished high school. Or grade school.
