2:00 My weird 'dream became real' moment was I dreamt about swimming in a big body of water, kinda far from shore, but not too far, didn't recognize the place at all, but. Felt safe enough? Two heads in front of me, closer to the shore, but all three of us were still decently far enough that we could barely touch the bottom And there were two little ones up in the water at the shoreline. The shore was capped by bushes and a pathway further inland, and I could hear talking past the bushes, idle chatter. Then I hear my aunt, clear as day, in her motherly 'soft shout', asking, "Who left their sockies outside the tent? You know we always put them away, ..." Her voice faded off pretty fast at that point because I blacked out for some reason at that point. It was like, March? When I had that dream that year? And then, come July of that year, I had basically forgotten about the dream. It was weird, and if prompted I'd recall, but it was basically stashed away. I go out a few hours away to visit grandparents and do our usual family reunion, with 4th and 24th of July celebrations, and camping for like a week to enjoy nature some. Some years we only did the camping, others only did the two July celebrations, this year was mainly camping with some rodeo stuff with my other Aunt planned for the 24th. We decided to go camp somewhere we hadn't before, and I remember the adults being anxious about finding a good spot, so when we found a big, gorgeous spot with plenty of space for the 4 families plus me and the grandparents, with over 12 kids to fit too, *and* it was by the shoreline so we could easily cast out and snag some fish for my Uncle's fish tacos, or swim some while easily having the safety of all the adults? It was perfect! And, no worries about privacy either, these neat bushes had covered most of the sightline from the lake into the camp, meaning no one could really see us unless we stepped out onto the shore! We took some time to settle in, and a day or two in, my cousins I was closest with and I all decided we'd try the lake and swim since it seemed nice and wouldn't hurt, so the adults set up some chairs and cast out a few lines so they had something to watch and wait on while also watching us kids. It was fun, swimming around, bit of kelp and junk on the surface some that grossed me out to touch, but otherwise nice. The two boys and I swam out a bit, letting the two littles stay on the shore and enjoy having their legs in the water without being fully in, and at some point, I decided to try and test how far out it'd take for just my head to be out while I touched the bottom with my feet. The boys did it too, all lined up in front of me as I passed by them and turned around to face them and the shore, all proud that I was the tallest of them And then it hit me like a truck The deja vu. I knew this moment I immediately felt off, and then my Aunt said the same line about sockies. Word for word. And everything felt heavy and wrong, and my vision hiccupped, so I quickly moved towards shore some to try and float on my back somewhere safer in case something happened And my scramble made me put my foot down in one of the worst spots, directly on a piece of a beer glass. Cut my foot right open. I stopped and went on my back immediately and started to swim backwards with my head to the shore instead because of how badly it spooked me, and started calling out for help as I got closer to the shore, saying how something cut my foot and I needed help patching it up And thankfully, it wasn't bad enough that my foot was truly damaged, no tetnis, nothin, but The way my vision started to swim like that, and then got worse so suddenly when I cut my foot was terrifying, it was like when you press your fingers or hand against your eyes and see those weird patterns, but my eyes were open and doing that. I have a few other 'dream became real' stories, but they're mainly attributable to the whole 'routine school thing is predictable so dream just predicted it because patterns' But that one? Never been to that campground, nor that specific camping spot. No reason to know of it, no reason to assume my Aunt would say that, nothing about that predictive dream made sense as far as just 'brain will make connections with patterns' There was no pattern to follow If anything, we'd always been a 10min+ walk away from any lakes we camped from, so the dream didn't even have that pattern to go off of. Weird stuff.
