Honestly, I just don't invade anymore. It's just too frustrating. I used to love invading in DS2, but invasions in DS3 and ER are just awful. All gankers, toxicity, cancer. I just do CoOp these days because it's less frustrating, but even that's annoying because you keep getting summoned by gankers. Gankers literally ruin every single aspect of multiplayer. We need to change the taunters tongue so they can't play that way.

They were really coordinated for a bunch of scrubs who can't survive ten seconds in a 1v1.

this game reallllly shows the power in numbers 10x better than most games, you take 3 scrubs that share a single braincell, and together they can fend off one of the best players in the game for a half hour, if not kill him... but when it's a 1v1 you can cut them down in less than 10 seconds each.

Chat was suggesting Miyazaki played invasions to see what it's like for invaders, and I agree lol There was a dead by daylight twitch event in Korea, and the hosts got one of the devs to play a match as the killer -- just a regular match against random people online. At that point in time, survivors were pretty OP due certain combinations of perks and abilities, and the idea was to give the dev a taste of his own medicine, since he was responsible for balancing the game. To sum it up, he got completely destroyed, teabagged and just generally BMed multiple times during the match. At the end of the match, one of the hosts asked the dev "How do you feel right now?" to which he replied "Not so good.". He then got BMed again during the match end screen, getting called a noob by the survivors. Guess what happened not too long afterwards, game balance wise? Stuff got nerfed and the experience got better for killers ... Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Thing is, Miyazaki does play the games. He was one of the people who got invaded by a dev in Blighttown way back in DS1 when they were still playtesting the invasion mechanics, and that's how we ended up with Mildred as a recurring character in the series because everyone found it funny

@@davidpotts7116 Mildly twisted context, borderline misinformation trying to skewed reality in favor of Miya the god Zaki yes he plays his games, but Miyazaki clearly doesn't engage with the entire game experience, PVE or PVP for that matter it's not yet cleared who invaded Miyazaki and the other devs but it is more likely to be a unsuspected play-tester, they were debugging something alright but clearly not to play-test the invasion mechanic, otherwise, why would it came to them as a surprise? shouldn't they have expected an invasion even if the character was a female butcher in bikini? i'm guessing you either read the mildred trivia on a wiki site and thought it was legit or you might have read the english translation of the interview and misinterpreted the original japanese meaning

@@redacap it’s been confirmed in dev interviews that it was another developer who had taken inspiration from the meat cleaver black phantom from demon souls. I’m not falsely skewing favor toward Miyazaki, I’m actually just stating fact that he does play the games. It’s literally his job as a director, designer, and writer to play these games in all stages of development. Also, it wasn’t the invasion itself that was surprising to everyone, but how unorthodox it was. Everyone on the dev team expected people to invade in full armored setups, not a sack head and a butcher’s knife. They included Mildred purely because they found the invasion funny. Miyazaki doesn’t, however, have any say in balancing of weapons or the like nor is it his job to essentially be a challenge runner and test every single weapon ever made so it can be competitively viable, so if anything the comment you just posted and the comment where this chain started are the sources of misinformation, as you’re falsely accusing Miyazaki of flipping all the switches that make things overpowered. It’s also been a conscious decision since demon souls that invaders should have it rough. If you’re going to disrupt someone else’s game, you better have the skill and little bit of luck necessary to do so.

It won't really happen for us, though. I don't think Fromsoftware generally plays their own games beyond playtesting. The community has always had to ask for these things, but sadly the voices aren't unified. A lot of invaders REALLY like gankers for some reason. I don't get it.

One of my favorite things about Gankers, Is that inevitable moment where you get them in a one-on-one, And they're trying to use their "gank" tools, that are basically ineffective without other people pestering and staggering you. Like you will Dodge their spam and then you can see that moment where they just start to back up like their brain doesn't know what to do next.

@@lukaogadze5071 Depends who's holding it. I've found Moonveil is probably the largest skill gap in a weapon I've seen in some time where either the person is a clueless spammer, or an absolute monster that understands Stagger and Poise rates down to the decimal.

@@zakataMan there is only 3 types of stagger. poise damage values are easy to learn(er motion values doc). i only meet handful of good moonveil users in my 2000+ hours of pvp. yes that weapon is strong and good. main weakness of that weapon is popularity and fixed aow. everyone in pvp was subjected to moonveil spam which means that most people know very well how to play vs that weapon.

light roll breaks game. yes it's bad and annoying to play against. idk about chainsaw. you get chainsawed when you piss someone off. you will understand when you fight light roll mage with 170 or more ms who spams swift glinstone shard.

@@rob0674 we don't have ping filter. if latency is 166 ms or more s will overlap and you can roll thru anything. it's even worse for light roll. when did sword dance become cheese? are you serious? i just don't like grabbing antspur with drawstring rot grease to chase light rollers. breaks the game means that most weapons become useless vs light roll.

someone claimed to be the host commented here before it got deleted he said that the event in this video happened 2.5 weeks ago he wanted some help to fight the theodorix boss and then Steel jump on them which leads to what we see in this video he said that they aren't ganker and that they weren't ganking but clearly he doesn't understand that "gank" is just a gaming slang for "ganged", as in "ganging up on others" or in this case "3 dudes ganged up on 1 guy" just like how git gud is slang for get good and rekt is slang for wrecked i don't remember all of the details but seeing him being all defensive trying to justify himself was pretty hilarious welp, at least he is a somewhat honest pver he just didn't seem to recognized that he actually enjoyed pvp a lot when it's a 3v1 though

it probably will, since we were told that characters created by fromsoft for the streamer event were level 150. if that’s the reconmended level for starting the DLC, meta might go up to 175-200, but that’s just my guess.

This is why I don't invade anymore. Dealing with gankers is not fun for most people. Honestly, they should change the Taunters Tongue so that you can't use it with gold phantoms in your world. Removing ganking as a viable playstyle would improve EVERYTHING about these games.
