A lot of metalcore bands get labeled post hardcore for some reason I have yet to figure out. Metalcore is such a vague sub genre that it really should have its own clearly defined sub genre/micro genre labels.... and I think that’s why people come up with incorrect labels to define specific styles within it regularly.

@BleeZard Yeah but this "second-wave" metalcore post-hardcore has like 0 similarities between their predecessor, except for like shouty vocals. Also, I'm pretty sure bands such as At The Drive In got a decent amount of attention.

@@TurtleGamers1 At the Drive In was one of the first bands of the second wave, so I guess they were kinda "1.5 wave"
