All she needed was d4. And that is i12 frames high crush. 1,2,2 was my fav -10 punisher. My go to after was d4. It only needed to happen twice before the player started to adjust...... Then its 1,2,2 into side step or just backdash or 1,2,2 into db4 to switch up the timing. 1,2,2 into df1 to float people tryna crush it, check people trying to low parry it. Df1 into d4. People will be looking to crush or low parry d4. They will not continue to get hit by it because its a stupid ugly low thats worthless. So they will adjust. When they adjust you adjust All she needed was d4. Used correctly it was all she needed.

If she ever returns, maybe she could get some of Kazumi's stuff to better round her up. Angel is kind of a lite Mishima, and Kazumi also has some of that DNA inside her but definitely has her own unique playstyle, so mixing them up could result in an interesting take on the archetype. Who knows?

The ONLY redeeming thing about her was that nearly every string was a wall combo and she had really good tag assault strings for most character pairings. I played her with Devil Jin for the double Wings, but Devil Kazuya was so much better.

Only issue with devil kazuya was losing some strong wr options but he was still great. It's a shame Angel didn't get mid wgf because then she'd have had something going for her giving up so much oki on everything. She had safe options but a lot of really shitty filler moves. I guess props to her for having the fastest high unblockable that was great for trolling online. She had zoning tools in a game that didn't favor it if you stuck a pizza on her back. Laser and pizza hitting mid became a legit mixup if you knocked someone down.

"The ONLY redeeming thing" lol you know Dr. B and True Ogre in this game have a 14f and 13f respectively frames fast df+1... and they both are much crappier than Angel. Hell I dare to say Angel is still quite decent compared to the likes of TTT2 Anna or Zafina lol. Yes she is the worst of the Mishimas in TTT2... yet still better than the bottom tier characters by a large margin... just because she still keeps her standard Mishima stuff unblemished.

@Leadblast If Angel is held up by her Mishima tools, she's got no redeeming qualities because you just play the better Mishimas. And the thing is, she wasn't even held up by those tools to a respectable level; she was kept from the absolute bottom by them. Take her electric, df2, f4, and u4 away from her and she has absolutely nothing noteworthy to justify a pick beyond the look. I used her and she had some really cool tag combos and a lot of her strings were natural, but every one of them was massively unsafe and often not even worth the risk. And despite being an angel, she sounded like a demon.

I know people won't see Angel a huge impact for Tekken modern but let's not forget the intro for Tekken 2 when she was there for kazuya while he was consumed with the Devil Gene and it's evil, She was the one with destiny to kill Shin Devil Kazuya instead of Jin

I played her a bunch despite people talking about how trash she is. You didnt even mention her standing 3. Yes its a bit slow compared to magic 4s but I cant really think of counterhit tool with such an amount of range. This move for me was the biggest advantage angel had over other Mishimas.

​@@JustAnte9557I mained a Angel/Yoshi team that was very good. I didn't even use ewgf. I used a lot of wavedash and hellsweep though. The cd4,4 version only. The wake up were very good because they were face up feet away on the ground. You had deep dash into another hell sweep, deep dash into d1. D1 hit grounded, was mid and safe and would counter hit get up kicks and tech rollers had to block it. That was by bread and butter. Just hellsweeps, and wavedash ws4s or df1s. Untill i knew they would duck tryna block a hellsweep then boom wavedash into ws2. Its really fun. Playing Mishimas is like gambling. But some are good at gambling and others are not.

To be fair. Shes my most favorite character in tekken and it makes me sad that shes forgotten. When i heared that Reina was a Mishima of some sort angel immediatly sprang to mind. I was hoping of some sort of rework and a redeeming of her of some sort, but i fear she will never ever leave the Vault of forgotten and never again playable characters again. Like gon or gunjack, sebastian and stuff... 😢

She has usually only been in Tag games since T2 but I think we have a chance in T8 seeing they are focusing more on characters like Claudio, Zafina, and Xiaoyu who want to help Jin get rid of the Devil Gene. What makes me most hopeful is the presence of Jun 😊

Her standing 3 gives a combo on counter, her df4 on counter pushes characters on their ass, whenever i did that i got df12 or ewgf with her guaranteed The db1+2 had an extension into b1+2 fist charge, her stance 4 is basically like Devil Jin ff4, safe amd pushback, stance 1 gave on counter a combo Also b4 on its own on a standing opponent that doesnt block, floats a character in the air if you jab immediately after it

People always underrate Angel and overrate how bad her flaws are. Like the lack of 15f launcher it doesn't really come into play. There are less than 10 lows in TTT2 that are exactly -15 on block so that she might feel gimped compared to most chars when it comes to WS punishment. Her WS+1,4 being 14f instead of 13f is more of a problem than WS+2 not being 15f. Not having good backdash, not having real high crushes besides db+1 (generic low jab) and d+4. Her f+3 stance mixup is still serviceable, while by no means good, f+3,1 is a reliable safe mid that causes stun on CH, likewise f+3,3 guarantees uf+4~3 (this is 4~3 but 1 frame faster in case you're asking) on CH, and on normal hit both are plus frames, not too bad. Yes they both are slow but you can use these moves for a mixup on techrolling opponent and the like. She is the worst Mishima in TTT2 but don't let that fool you into thinking she's the absolute worst char in TTT2. I've played Anna, Zafina, Dr B, True Ogre... they all feel worse than Angel. Despite having faster mids and a functional backdash and such.

You mean Katarina has some of HER animations. Secondly people made a lot of videos about this. You can look back to earlier builds of tekken 7 and they had a ton of soul calibur assets reused and slightly edited. t7 is a much better game than it used to be for sure.

You forgot to talk about d/f+1+2 which was like T7 Kazuya's d/b+2. A safe mid that knocks down into a guaranteed follow up. If the opponent tried to get up after it hits, they could be floated for a combo too.

Ohh and all my tag combos with Angel/Yoshi did 70dmg. The health bar is only 140point of damage. So df1,2 db2, 2, df1+2 tag / Yoshi 1+2, 2,1+2 / Angel CD1 did 70. Ws2 same combo did 70. U4 same combo did 70dmg. All i needed was one df1,2 and i knew one more combo and they are dead. Angel was pretty good.
