I love my Nike Pegasus shoes, but I hate their laces. I can't complete a single run without having to stop every 15 minutes. The runner's knot doesn't help; they just keep getting untangled.

Double tie them. I tried the runners loop and I agree. They keep coming untied! Double knot and I no longer had that issue!

There it is: 1K subs. You're on your way to the top. To be clear, the foam below the Nitro Elite foam on the Deviate is their regular Nitro foam, which is still a supercritical foam that I heard might be TPE or TPEE based. Definitely not standard EVA. I agree that the minimal rocker makes the shoe feel quite natural on foot and I don't know that the plate does much unless you're really picking up the pace. The midsole is both cushioned and responsive though. As a versatile shoe, I would put the Novablast on my list. It's probably on the other end of the quick vs. cushioned spectrum for versatility compared to the Rebel but the light, bouncy feeling still lets me pick up the pace. For someone who wants a max cushion-type shoe that has the ability to go quick, I think it's a decent option. Durability is also top notch.

Yes, that's the same reason why I stopped using the Hoka Mach series. It's great but doesn't last. Maybe if it's on super discount.

I just ran Chicago Marathon in the Mach 5s. They did great. Had zero issues comfort wise and loved the light weight. It takes corners so well too. Unfortunately, the outsole is wearing down quickly on mine too so won't be buying another pair.

You should try the new Altra FWD Experience. It’s a firmer ride but I’m loving it more than my NB Rebel v3’s.

The way you pronounce the word versatile makes you sound uneducated. You tend to accentuate the word tile every time you say versatile. Take, for example, the word fertile. You don't say fur-tile. Same with versatile. The word tile shouldn't be pronounced.
