Actually he didn't. They have a video talking about it. They were so convinced it was gonna be a little girl. When she made the cake she kind of rushed making it because she was excited so the blue dye didn't fully take and it turned green. I love this. The right way to do it. He addressed and validated her emotions without minimising or dismissing it as an overreaction. He comforted her. Then he came up with a solution. Men are usually going for solution first while women are usually emotional first. Neither is wrong but if you want to learn the middle ground, this video demonstrates it so well.
