That’s great- some of my first observations of autism were of Teddi when she was 3 and my daughter was showing signs. Tessi reminds me of Laura -Laura is slowly picking up language, can tell us what she wants but has a long way to go. I’ve been waiting for the day when Tessi will speak- so happy for you

I can't help but notice why in every video Maggie is always showing the camera her tablet. Do you think she's trying to communicate? Or is it a stim? Seems to be her top priority to constantly show it to us.

I'm not sure the exact motivation behind it, although she consistently seems to be showing the same clips from her favorite videos. I do know that she is really into our channel and that it's a top interest. She asks me to make a video, just about every day, and makes it very clear what she wants them to be about. She's even started to ask for "mommy sit down" or "mommy talking" videos. When we were at the baseball game earlier this year she would do something, like put on my hat, then look at the camera and smile and say "video please." I guess I suspect that it's her way of sharing her favorite parts, although her favorite parts don't tend to be watching the parts when she's showing her iPad. I try to get candid videos, since I know she likes watching those a lot, but she's onto me, and is always ready with her kindle or iPad.

I was going to ask the same thing! She's very adamant, and it's great that she has the forethought to want to catch it on camera! I wonder though that because the camera is so distracting for her that we don't get to see her scripting or asking questions anymore😢❤

Makes me think if how when I was a kid I would tell people my favorite bits of dialogue from shows and movies, though I didn't understand that me parroting them doesn't necessarily have the same impact as actually watching the show.
