It's incredibly solid. And as Sam said in the BTS video it proves that Corridor can execute well given the creative control. I think the expectations that KZbin audiences and to some degree also the people who sponsor stuff for KZbin have doesn't really match up with the cinematic ambitions of people who love movies and want to make them. The audience is kind of trained to have short attention spans and treat the content in a very throwaway manner and the people who sponsor stuff basically expect a viral hit every time and have some curious ideas about how to achieve that. A channel like Corridor is in the awkward position of having built their core audience on this platform so now they are kind of stuck with it and it's difficult to assert creative control when the basis of your existence seems so precarious. Like what are they gonna do when the channel starts losing subscribers? How can they get sponsors as a revenue stream without sacrificing their creative freedom? Brb gonna donate to Patreon. Give them a stable source of revenue and total creative freedom and they will do great things. Right now I feel like they are doing a great job playing the game and keeping everything afloat but if even a portion of the fans would commit (and I mean really commit longterm) a small monthly sum things would be much better.

5:10 ok, possibly my favorite "jump scare," of all time. There's _just enough_ time before the *duuhn* jump sound where you realize she's there, and the creepiness sinks in. Idk, it wasn't quite as heart stopping as most jump scares, but it didn't take me out of the film as much as most jumps scares do. Don't know if this was intentional or not, but bravo! EDIT: I also think it was really interesting how you played with the concept of light. Usually ghosts don't like the light, which plays on our instinctual fear of the dark. The fact that this creature could only exist in the light could create a really interesting dynamic, where we are afraid of the dark because it's the unknown, however the characters have to survive in it because the "safe," light is actually where the danger is.

As far as I know, this is an INCREDIBLE original idea!! It puts you in a TERRIFYING conundrum where darkness is actually your salvation. Most fear comes from the dark and in this scenario, you have to deal with darkness and avoid the light. This could easily be a stand-alone movie and strongly suggest you pursue it before its taken from you. (Unless this whole concept already exists and I'm just unaware of it.)

In a genre full of cliches, you managed to make a pretty original horror character (far as I'm aware). Nice work! Dope effects and awesome cinematography, the whole thing looks great. Really love the moment the girl is holding out a lighter and the moth grabs her arm. Fantastic jump scare. Good misdirection with the ending, I thought for sure the car would come down the road and the headlights would attract the monster, but instead you went back to the phone. Stupendous!

That was amazing. Really impressed, Sam. I will say I think the ending was a bit illogical because she could have just turned the phone face down, and I think it would be cooler if the monster came out of the car's headlights just when she thought she was going to be rescued but overall an awesome film. Also major props to whoever designed the monster holy shit.

Someone should really make a version of this where all dialog is changed to mothgirl saying LÄMP, etc. And when they do, I need a link to it.
@feha926 жыл бұрын
Oh, and no worries sam, it was a pretty nice little horror short. The acting weren't perfect, but your worries were about your producing skills rather than that anyway. Only issue I have is why *anyone* would have their mind jump to cheating when they barge in on someone who has been awol for hours only to find a mutilated guy in the remote cabin? Would have made more sense if the dialog went in the "did you do this?!" direction instead.
@Veptis4 жыл бұрын
I researched a few times because this one is rather special. It's shot more beautifully than most corridor videos and so much more relevant than "BIGGEST BS on the planet" phone sketch.
@acexmercury79714 жыл бұрын
This is art. Not only because it has a spooky vibe and because of the suspense, but because of the concept. Usually, you want to avoid the darkness, but here the darkness is your friend, and the moth comes out when there is light.
@lupusk9productions6 жыл бұрын
Wow this was actually a bit scary. Love the concept of creepy things in the light instead of darkness like most horror films. Where people feel safe in the light now they can't haha.
