Drawn to the dark Covered by the blood when possible Call to the corners To any open Crucible Easy to reach Bearing every mark unmissibly Wanna leave behind some token of what I carried with me Search in the storm drains Sleep in the underpasses Try hard to look hard Behind my blackout sunglasses But I have high unicorn tolerance I have high unicorn tolerance I have high unicorn tolerance I have high unicorn tolerance Swim with real sharks Those who never speak when spoken to Hard limits fade into memory Once broken through Scaling the well Every single day instinctively Feel shame real shame For what my friends must think of me Dig through the graveyard Rub the bones against my face It gets real nice around the graveyard Once you've acquired the taste And when the clouds do clear away Get a momentary chance to see The thing I've been trying to beat to death The soft creature that I used to be The better animal I used to be Draw where I'm drawn Seldom wonder why just follow you Never blame the rags that swallowed me For the place the river took me to Long life to the spiders Safe travels to the crow Love to the ghosts Who taught me everything I know But I have high unicorn tolerance I have high unicorn tolerance But I have high unicorn tolerance I have high unicorn tolerance

This album blew me away, so very stoked to go through this Mountain Goats binge this album inaugurated. Haven't been this excited since Heretic Pride.

it's taken me a long time to warm up to this album ever since it came out, but listening to it this past week has proven to me how versatile and deeply envisioned this songwriting is and it makes me happy how tmg has opened up to a completely new avenue of sound, breaking away from form to create something totally new. and now i think this album is the most interesting of them all, because they've evolved so much even just within the last 5 years. love this band forever

there is no other song that sounds like this... it's hard to think of even 5 other bands with such a wide range of conceptual work. i especially love the stereo work with his voice, you can tell he's just more confident in what he can do with the band and its so beautiful :-) all of them have become so good at what they do, you can feel it in the bass and the drums and everything, and you can definitely feel the same energy of this song live even with acoustic!

I'm 23 years old and I have high unicorn tolerance and I'm damn proud of it. But seriously I'm glad to know that there are still some artists that make songs with meaning and not just to make money

this whole album has fantastic arrangement/lyrical combinations but this one is my favorite. they're great to see. watched them play in new haven twice now. once they played the best ever death metal band out of denton in a church. complete with the "hail satan" chant at the end. no one's better.

the theme childhood joys and imagination here reminds me of in league with dragons a bit, specifically younger. ugh goths is just such a good album, it fits into the tmg discography so well for something so experimental for them, and its just. very nostalgic. its my friends favorite album and i can absolutely see why (though my favorite would have to be either all eternals deck or full force galesburg :P)

I cannot help but think that this is directed at John Green and his hate for unicorns.... PS. Team zombie

Christopher Bingham Yeah I knew it wasn't directed at John Green, I just thought it was a funny coincidence. Though I didn't know about the mug. Interesting fact
