Just got a message from xxx years from now: "what was up with the heartless world back then not to recognize The HBs and this Epic song?"

Reminds me of the mine I would work at occasionally. They would blast and dig a mountain for coal and send it down a 7km conveyor belt to be shipped off to the rails.

That being said you know a song is great when people from all walks of life translate it in a different way they can all relate to.

I peeked into that mountain, as it slowly became a giant crater and I spilled blood many of times on its soil.

I think in my case the “desire” was the mad money I made, but also the concern of knowing that the pollution and disruption of environment would hurt the people living in the area.

the song is about heroin use. consider the lyrics: >and you wanna get higher, so what do you do? >the way it is coming down >take it on down the line >tie it off the middle and take it all the way >tasteless lead sitting on our tongues >worry about the ones we love peeking into the mountain is coming back to it periodically "where your old desire goes"
@SwitcherooU7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's in same vein as Jane's Addiction's "Mountain Song," which is also about heroin use. Pun intended.
