My first They Are Billions custom map gives us unlimited resources, one mountain pass to defend, and 1000 Giants attacking us! I've disabled oil based units so we'll be making over 2000 snipers and tons of towers to defend our base. Our goal is to make the best defense possible against the Giant zombie horde and protect our Command Center, but I'm not even sure if I made the final wave possible to survive.

About They Are Billions:
They Are Billions is a Steampunk real-time-strategy game set on a post-apocalyptic planet. Build and defend colonies to survive against the billions of the infected that seek to annihilate the few remaining living humans. Can humanity survive after the zombie apocalypse? This is strategy focused game where you have to manage a human colony in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and survive the infection. Billions of infected roam the world in massive swarms seeking the last human colonies and it's our job to make the best strategic and tactical decisions to survive.
In my videos, typically I only cover the final wave in which billions of zombies come to try and destroy your Command Center while trying out crazy strategies. From making 2000 snipers, hundreds of Titans, Shock Towers Only, you name it; I like to have fun and try some crazy stuff! I don't really go over beating the game, or necessarily make the 'Best Defense Possible' because I aim to make these videos as epic and entertaining as possible.
Of course, whenever They Are Billions gets a new update I will cover that as well. Since They Are Billions is still in Beta, the game will be getting plenty more updates including new towers, new zombies, new wonders, a campaign, and much much more!
When covering these updates, I'll show off what the new updates add to the game as well as try to do something crazy against the final wave as well.
They Are Billions custom map gameplay is a big thing now too since the release of the custom map editor in the new update. The map editor allows anyone to make any scenario in They Are Billions, from having 100 giants attack at once to spawning in a thousand Rangers!

1. Fill the entire lane to the brim with snipers. 2. Sporadically put towers and walls into the sniper pack. 3. Fill all the remaining land with wiretraps. 4. Make a large concave kill wall after the mouth of the lane.

The devs deserve a good pat on the back for their work since ea release. This game was great when it was released it's just gotten better and better. The scope of this editor alone is massive and i really cant wait for the single player also.

In the initial scenario, if they had arrived at the beginning of day 28 like they were supposed to and you only had to make it to day 30, you would have won. They took about 8 hours longer than what would have put you at day 30 in your second scenario.

Why did you thin out the towers at the end there? Snipers gain like double range when they are in a tower. You could have had twice as many snipers firing on those giants near the end if you just made it a solid wall of stone towers. After that cake the gaps with wasps maybe. And when you gain a chance to rebuild and repair, fill it with landmines.

If you intentionally create a minor weak point in your sniper tower layout and have them funnel into a pocket of mutants, that seems to help.

You need the troops at the front to target highest priority and the units at the back to target nearest, that makes the troops fire more efficiently.

This reminds me of making custom maps in warcraft 2 while growing up and Starcraft as well. I'd always make them unfair for me. But hey yeah I was just having fun. It is a really good editor. Glad to see it in this game. Maybe I'll try my hand at making something when it is no longer in beta.

(A lot of this rambling goes on the presumption that there is a pause button where you can still do stuff in the game, like in creeper world 3) This makes me want to buy the game, learn how to play said game, play this specific map and the try to omega OCD defense the zombies to death. Neat, orderly, every tower having four snipers, and plenty of death. In other words, similar to this, but with more thought and carefulness invested into the defense. Oh! And another thing, I understand that there is a training time before the units are built but still; recording this requires commentary from Kibitz, therefore I saw plenty of time, like 3/2 of your time was spent not doing anything but spectating the zombie apocalypse coming for you as opposed to spamming snipers with max efficiency. And if there is time where your ressources are filled but so are all your training queues with snipers, you should use the most of your space and create two groups of barracks so as to still create more snipers, this requires building your barracks without leaving wasted space.

Now this is the type of game that I can get into you can create your own scenario and just test it out, Which is very fun and then you can also play the game. If this ever became mobile somehow I can imagine how big it will be.

kinda sad how 4 elite snipers in a stone tower are better at defending then a single minigun tower :D but well. All the way traps+stone tower+sniper and about 10k snipers would have hold that :) you should add the jumpers maybe

How are you able to give the colony 3k + gold income in the editor? I just cant't figure it out -.- Awesome Vid by the way! :)

Thanks Brain! To give gold, there's a script option that's called 'give colony resources' and you can give the colony any amount of resources you like. So if you do that, turn off notifications of the event, and set it to repeat every hour you'll have infinite everything! Just make sure to have plenty of warehouses :P

i beat your map with this stradgy. Very simple one. All you need is meat shield ( mutans) and damage dealer (snipers). make lots lots of mutans and put them front. Make lots lots snipers no towers.

I think what happened was that since your snipers were targeting the strongest, the giants soaked up bullets allowing the smaller zombies to deal tons of damage to your walls.

I think you could have won that if you gathered a greater count of snipers per inch instead of building defenses. You held it all back once they got past the towers and guns and it was just a sea of shoulder to shoulder snipers.
