@9:20 They brought like $1000 worth of gear but choose to lower with a munter hitch? Whats wrong with a self locking device? Surely the rescuer can slip and fall as well.

The second system is more designed for lightweight alpine rescue, so less gear is used. I do find the use of a munter interesting but makes sense in that context. I’d still probably just use an ATC to avoid all the twisting in rescue ropes
