Those of you that follow me on Instagram know that I have had many doctor appointments and medical tests recently. Here is the explanation vlog I promised. Thank you for all your prayers. I appreciate all of you so much :-)

Dana, I am so sorry you are having to go through this trying time.You will, be fine. Just take it one day at a time listen to your doctors and rest and know that you will be going to Walt Disney World again before long. The reason they don't want you to set for too long is because it can lead to blood clots. After your surgery they will have you up as soon as they can and it helps with recovery too, to get your strength back. I am Praying for you now and every day until you are through all of this surgery and recovery. I am Praying for your family as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and seeing how you are doing in the months to come.

Oh yeah, that's what they said about sitting...the blood clots. Taking it easy doesn't come natural for me, but I'm sure going to try because I don't want the recovery to take any longer than it has to. Thank you so much for the prayers :-)

Dana I’m praying for you and your family and your friend. Remember there’s always POWER IN PRAYERS!! I’m a registered nurse and I also feel by what you’re saying that all is going to be good. After your recovery it is important to get up and walk and to sit in the chair that helps you to prevent developing blood clots and pneumonia as well as shorten your recovery. It’s going to be ouchy as you can imagine take a small pillow hold over your belly when you cough and when you move that will help. It also may help shield your belly from Disney by keeping a pillow over your belly if he jumps up on you. I have no doubt that you will recover as quickly as possible you’re a fighter and motivated to get better quickly. Concentrate on getting better and caring for yourself. Don’t worry about uploading unless you just want to. We all understand. God’s riches blessings on you. The Lord is the great physician I’ll be praying that He will direct the hands that will be doing you’re surgery. You’ve got this girl, we are all cheering you on. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Thank you for your transparency in this! I’m so sorry you’ve been going through this, it reminds me so much of me. I have a high pain tolerance as well so I normally tough it out. But as I’m getting older I found I need to listen to my body. I will definitely be praying for you, and your friend! What a testimony to who you are for requesting prayer for her during that same time. God has amazing plans for you and I know you’ll do great!! I’m only a few hours away if you need any extra help or just to bring a Disney trivia game while you’re laid up! Gods got this!!! Love ya much!!

I'm definitely going to start listening. If I would have listened earlier, I could have got it out while it was smaller and the surgery wouldn't have be so major. I sure do appreciate your prayers.

I'm so sorry Dana. Definitely praying for you and your doctors. Praying for your friend as well. You are certainly facing this challenge with grace. Use a pillow to protect your stomach from Disney. 😉 They'll likely recommend you hold a pillow against your stomach in case of coughing, sneezing or when moving anyway. Soft hugs wonderful woman.

That's a great idea. I remember using a pillow for sneezing after my last surgery, now it will be my defense from Disney...LOL Thank you for the prayers :-)

Dana, I am praying and pulling for you. I used to be a nurse so here is my advice- if they want you up and walking do it. No matter how much you want to say no- it helps to walk for many important reasons. Also, get some audio books. Some new some old favorites. I have Harry Potter and since I have read the books already I just listen as background noise. Since you had C sections in the past you shouldn't be too caught off guard with the post op discomfort. I am in SC if you need a Disney girl to come see you and talk Disney let me know.Bring blankets and pillows for Tom. Hugs-💜

I just had surgery 5 weeks ago. My incision is from two inches above my belly button to my pelvic bone. I had a mass on my spine. recovery has been hard I'm not going lie . Thank the good Lord it wasn't cancer. So my prayers and thoughts will be with you. Enjoy your time at Disney World.

Oh my goodness...on your spine?!?!? That is really scary...to think of doctors operating on the spinal cord. So glad it wasn't cancer. How long was your stay in the hospital (I'm wondering if they really mean in it when they say I will be there 4-5 nights)?

I am so sorry Dana that you have been going through all this. I am thankful they can do something about it as scary & as stressful as it has been for you & the family. You will always have us to talk to you are a sweet lady & I will be praying everything goes smooth for you. Don't overdue it at Disney before you go maybe bring a heating pad if that helps for pain.

I will definitely be bringing the heating pad (it has been my best friend lately). As a precaution, I will not be riding things like Space Mountain on this trip (going to try and keep the jolting of the body at a minimum...lol).

Dana I'm so sorry for everything that you are going through. It's so wonderful that you are going to that most "happy place" -Disney before your surgery with your son. It will be a special trip for you both. I'm sending you the scripture that got me through several surgeries, and the waiting for results times when I had breast cancer a few years ago and that is: PHILIPPIANS 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me". Knowing that He was taking care of me and always with me got me through. He's got you! You and your friend and family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Kim

@@TheMouseDiva No more cancer! Having other issues from the previous surgeries, and the implants have been recalled...so I am looking at another surgery. But I consider myself so blessed! Praying you heal quickly. I was in hospital a few weeks when I had all my lower disk removed and an experimental disk thing put in. Not up on medical terminology. I won't go back to Disney but at least I can walk and work.

This is similar to something my mother went through a couple years ago, she is doing fine now, and will be celebrating her 70th bday in April.
