I read from credible sources that the early church was called the Netzarim and led by James as a first Paqid or leader. The Netzarim officially ended in 135 ce with the 15th and last Paqid with no successor. They disappeared from history in 333 ce. Doesn't this prove Rabban Gamaliel's point in Acts chapter 5 that Jesus's movement would come to nothing demonstrating him to be a false Messiah like the others mentioned in that passage? Anyone's replies would be great.

Makes perfect sense to me...the gospel came to both Jew and gentile but it was the gentiles who primarily received it. It stands to reason God would want to include a gentile contribution to the New Covenant scriptures. It sounds like you want rationalize this away because it makes you uncomfortable or something, I'm not sure why 😅 Luke's writings are great.

I was hoping to get enlightened from this study until Dr. Smith said that Dr. Luke was a gentile. Jesus said that He was sent to the "lost sheep of the house of Israel" and to have a gentile in His team makes no sense. I will believe God's word over man's.

Yes but Jesus had Gentiles in HIS BLOODLINE.... a gentile was apart of His heritage, Why NOT His team?!?❤️

I was about to get a little salty about it your statement, but then I Googled it and found some interesting information that it's possible Luke was a Jew. Had always heard Gentile. Not that it matters to our salvation, but still an interesting thing to ponder.
