Even though the question has already been answered, i'd like to add more context. In Halloween 78, Loomis empties his gun into Michael which results in 6 shots. In Halloween II in 1981, they utilized a different camera angle halfway through the audio of the shots and we actually hear 7 gunshots. Also, you will notice that another mistake made in Halloween II is that Michael gets shot and falls into the front yard instead of the backyard (as he does in the first film).

Part 2 was just as good as the first one as far as I'm concerned.Sure they are different in certain ways but both are strong slasher movies,better then a lot of the other ones that were popular at the time.

I love the low budget effects here, gives it some great atmosphere....some saying it needs an upgrade. I don't think so at all. I never seen this guy before.....some of the jokes land flat and he looks like a Spanish Columbo!! but this episode was fun.....but it could just be because I love Halloween II, which is highly underrated. I would also like to add, while I didn’t answer your trivia question in time, while Michael’s middle name really is Audrey in nearly every movie, if you pay attention at the Beginning of Halloween 4, one of the Doctors is typing a report on Micheal, and his name is spelled, Michael M. Myers. It is the only film in the series which includes a different middle name, although it is unknown what the M spells out.
