Yes from 2016 even before I have been telling folks that Trump is only opposed to black and brown immigrants not white immigrants from Eastern Europe. I kept telling them that the immigrants Trump said were coming to take jobs etc, that those immigrants would be coming from Eastern Europe . I remind them that Trump said he wanted to see more immigrants from Norway.

Listen to what the OJays sang about Unity we must have unity, teddy Pendagrass wake up everybody no more sleeping in bed, Marvin gay brother brother what’s going on or Curtis mayfield keep on pushing can’t stop now. So! Where are the voices today to show that we haven’t stop but continue to stay on the battle field what our ancestors died for . Clean up every black neighborhood fix up boarded houses, change the way we think and start doing now otherwise they going to keep choking and shooting us regardless unless we stand up now. Forget any march on DC boycott across this country every day weekend week month until we get what we deserve especially from ourselves, a demand if we are to regain conscienceless, of who we claim to be.

Greeting my sister, 1. I agree with you wholeheartedly in your narrative, but my question as I listen to multiple podcasts, however why are the same narrations is being repeated,yet no action is taken place now. With all that God has given us, today we are far behind in what our ancestors do in and under conditions unimaginable. Up until the early seventies we had black hospitals, for some reason it faded away. Now with all of the black culture, HBCU we have nothing to showcase what our ancestors fought for, yet again just a repetition of rhetoric. Question is why? We have every single tool gift talent and the willingness to move forward, but sitting still like a stiff bird frozen in time,why. I often hear repeated comments of the new Jim Crow, how many where it derives from? Billionaire Robert smith paid off Morehouse college students and their parents dept in 2022 I believe in that year, nevertheless I stand corrected. Here’s another question what happened to all the money he saved them do with? And what could have been done today to make an impact now rather keep repeating what the colonizers are doing to this country today. If think about it this country belongs to the native Americans Indians, white people invaded it . We have the resources skills and experience knowledge talent to make a difference now today not tomorrow now. So hitting the like and scribe button is not going to change if blacks doesn’t change the mindset. So I will ask this question why? One last comment, blacks protest riot and tear up every thing that doesn’t belong to them, yet their own communities they won’t come together and fix’s up, you can look at the ages from teenagers through to adults past seventy.so what do you propose now I want to know otherwise it defeats the purpose. I won’t subscribe unless you have an answer I do.thank you for reading this now I wait to hear from you God be with you.

No ma’am that’s not the real reason for the watermelon racist joke. The watermelon was given to black people in the fields to replace water and to keep them working all day with no breaks.This was told to me from my grandmother who died at the age of 96. So no I did not like the joke it was very disgusting to anyone who thinks that you are not on their list.

@lindamitchell6676 -Thank you for sharing your (precious) grandmother's lived experience providing us a further glimpse into the horror of the inhumane treatment, suffering, and exploitation of our ancestors DURING enslavement. Additionally, research offers information regarding the association of blacks with watermelon and how it was/is used as a pejorative ‘POST' slavery: "The watermelon stereotype is an anti-Black racist trope originating in the Southern United States. It first became a backlash against African American emancipation and economic self-sufficiency in the late 1860s. After the American Civil War, in several areas of the South, former slaves grew watermelon on their own land as a cash crop to sell. Thus, for African Americans, watermelons were a symbol of liberation and self-reliance. However, for many in the majority white culture, watermelons embodied and threatened a loss of dominance. Southern White resentment against African Americans led to a politically potent cultural caricature, using the watermelon to disparage African Americans as childish and unclean, among other negative attributes." Black, William R. (2018). "How Watermelons Became Black: Emancipation and the Origins of a Racist Trope". Journal of the Civil War Era. 8 (1): 64-86. ISSN 2154-4727. JSTOR 26381503.

@DDB20103 күн бұрын
@ritamcbee They are only hired to produce the speeches on the teleprompter screen. They are not paid to vet them. All speeches anywhere are taken in good faith, there is no. vetting. Reason, you can't control anyone's mouth while they are on stage, why bother vet them, instead just rely on good faith. Kill Tony was an anomaly. On t.v or radio they don't vet anyone but there is 10 minute delay. Someone watching or listening will go for commercial break to edit anything they don't like. I can't say it was irresponsible, but it was misplaced trust. They didn't think he was going to make a joke about Puerto Rico just like you and I didn't think he was. The joke had no context. He should have at least explained that there is garbage problem in Puerto Rico, don't you think? But the media wants you to believe it was the campaign and Trump. No it was all Tony and Tony alone, only Tony came out of his mouth.
