Great things you're building. Non-advertently though I think you're the reason Brompton decided to make the G line. I think you partly unwittingly did market research for them! I know people have been building 20" Bromptons for a while, but your modifications are very well thought out and put together. Keep up the good work and innovation!

Thank you for the film, I need a trip to Glasgow to have a test ride and get an order placed. Will ring you soon to sort things.

I wonder how it would work if it'll function with a suspension fork akin to the birdy or moulton.

Looks cool, but it's a huge amount of money for something with squirrely handling and Inadequate suspension. It's a great upgrade for the state of UK roads though 😅

I see you trying to lift the rear of the bike by the saddle. Then you remember that the bike begins to fold up at that point. That is a fundamental problem with the Brompton design… when you need to lift the bike up over a curb, steps, a rock etc. Maybe there is a lockout available to prevent this “breaking in two” design and if there ever was it would make up for that very annoying feature. Other folding bikes fold simply with a locking lever on the frame. The Brompton design is too clever and appeals to those who are too clever.

Doesn't the brompton have a latch there as well? it's usually the (urban) riders who remove them for quicker folding in busy places.

At which point of the video? I lift it by the saddle several times, there is a catch that locks the rear triangle so it doesn’t fold up when you do that. When I fold it at the end, you can see me operating the catch to release it.

It only did this from like 2004 - 2007 then a locking latch was released. All modern bromptons lock into place 👏🏻
