I bought one of these-it will work one man to death! Need at least two. We poured 9 yards, footings and stem walls. Works great!

The reason if is do slow is to give time for the concrete dry mix to get wet and mixed.

Take a look at the Boomtown Mixers Beast. Comes with a speed dial and a bigger hopper.

That thing is pretty cool. I know it looks slow but is it really? It's a constant flow instead of a big dump of comvrete every 3 minutes, I'd be interested to see a side-by-side comparison to see if it's actually slower.

That flows fast enough for this old man LOL...

I've been researching these things for the last 6 months and decided on the Klutch instead. For what we do, building fireplaces and chimneys, it just seemed like the smarter move.

You should do a longer video in this for beginners How to use it to pour a pad would be a great video

Have you ever tried the harbor freight cement mixer?

@@mrballoonpimp HF has a new smaller 11/4 cu ft drum mixer perfect for small/ one man jobs or beginner. I mixed and applied a bunch of stucco finish coat with this and would recommend it, good design and rugged. Meanwhile the MUD MIXER is a wonder.

If you don't own one of these no need to comment. I bought this with the mind set it was slow, no way in the hell one man can keep up with this, it will do about 75 80 pound bags a hour with consist mix and flow. I bought the extended hopper which is a must on big jobs, this paid for itself in one day.

I've owned a 5 cu. ft. IMER MINUTEMAN for 20 years and used it a lot without a problem and it mixes 4- 60 pound bags in 3 minutes. I have poured many patios and sidewalks usually by myself and would not change it . This mud mixer seems too slow and too low for a wheelbarrow and is too expensive to buy.

First you must research and learn how this machine is operating and the process of what you actually create with this tool. And not making request about a speed dial for the corkscrew. The speed must be in a specific range to have proper mixing of concrete, plaster or whatever else you can mix with it. This is not a cement cannon!
@carpentersjourney Жыл бұрын
I don't have to do any of that but I do respect your opinion sir. I'm aware of the mud has to mix but you can make the shoot longer also. Making the shoot longer would give the mud more time in the chute even if the auger bit spun faster, I love the thing I think it's awesome please don't take it as disrespect. I'm seriously considering purchasing one of these things
@vmas29 Жыл бұрын
@@carpentersjourney yea if you make the shoot longer and test different diameter tubes and augers and adjust the water supply you can make a machine like this faster i suppose. in the video you speak only about the speed of the auger, that's why i answer this way, no disrespect. this is a good machine and the idea of a continuous mix of materials, and for specific jobs and applications is a game changer. for me is a little expensive for what it is but ok is for your job so take it..

Bull shzt. Rookie look up how many rotations are needed to properly mix concrete to full strength. If you speeded it up would Evan be less mixing done. No thanks. Retired concrete superintendent.
