The UK version has two additional songs including “Pachalafaka” and “Hugga Wugga”. These two are not included on the US release. I don’t know why these two songs would’ve include on the US release like “Hugga Wugga” and “Pachalafaka”, because Arista decided not to include them. If you have the UK release of the soundtrack, it has two additional songs included which were not on the US version.

Ah, the childhood memories! I listened to this epic album a million times. Jim Henson and Frank Oz (who also appears in The Blues Brothers) were my all time heroes. How much fun it must have been to do all those original Muppets and Sesame Street shows, with so many legendary guest stars. A thing to cherish!

I was 5 ( 1977 ) when I got this record. Lost count how much I listened to it. Think it’s still at my parents house. Entertainment from favourite childhood heroes. It’s like I just listened last week. Can’t remember yesterday. But I can every word of this 💚

This album was released in 1977 in both US and UK. Mine is the US release on the Arista label, but the UK release was on PYE Records. The album was #1 in the UK album charts, but in the US, it got to #153 on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts, and it was a huge flop.

One of many cast-show albums of television series released in the 1970s. The year before the album was released, and in the same year the series debuted, Sony's Betamax video cassette recorder was introduced in the United States, but it had a relatively low-to-modest early adoption rate depending on the region, necessitating the release of the record for those who could not afford the system or the tapes onto which many of the episodes could be recorded.

The theme song was awesome as noticed. This was followed by instrumental break, which to be honest, we get to be introduced to the dog who plays the piano, right As noticed the Muppet show theme song was used in season one and the lyrics are. It’s time to play the music. It’s time to like the lights. It’s time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet show tonight.
