Update: I had the wonderful opportunity to see him perform at Amalie Arena in Tampa on April 24, 2022 and this was the final Encore Song before he waved goodbye to the crowd and went offstage. The concert was absolutely amazing, bittersweet because it’s likely the last time Elton John will tour but being able to see him is a truly treasurable experience. This is a great song and a great performance. Probably my favorite Elton John song of all time. I noticed that the comment in this comments section that received the most thumbs up stated that "Elton John is such a poet...", but it should be noted that Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics to this song and many of Elton John's other songs during this time period in Elton's career. Elton John and Bernie Taupin were viewed as a sort of a songwriting team and they sure made for a great songwriting team.

It was a family show, more so than a kids show. Plus, previous epiosdes alluded to far more adult things than gin and tonic. Elton did 4 songs in the episode and all of them were cut. Most probably due to time more than anything else. Because if he had done all the songs at full length, there wouldn't have been any time for The Muppets stuff.
