It's so impressive that this and muppet vision 3d were the last muppet projects Jim Henson had worked on before passing my favorite moment of this special Was Rolf's song doggin it also hearing Kermit refer to Mickey as his freind is nice and it definitely foreshadows The future what with Disney owning the rights to the Muppets in 2004 or whenever it was that they had full-time ownership of them still though it's nice to finally see this historic pice of muppet media in it's entirety as this was something that I always wanted to watch but never got the chance to untill today and now that I've finally got around to watching this special I can safely say that this is one of my favorite non movie related pieces of muppet media That I've had the privilege and pleasure of watching

The entry to MGM (Now Hollywood) Studios is basically the same… outside of that and the Chinese Theater… it’s a VERY different park. Crazy and sad to think that 10 days after this aired, Jim Henson would be gone.

I watch a documentary series about Walt Disney and he did built Walt Disney World on a Swamp Land. Of course he never saw it finished because he die, so his brother Roy Disney finish it for him. It was original called, 'Epcot' before it was called Walt Disney World. Roy decided to name Walt Disney World as a tribute to his late brother.

This special aired 10 days before Jim Henson’s death. May 6 1990 and Jim Henson passed May 16 1990. I wonder if this special The Muppets at Walt Disney World is what killed Jim Henson because Frank Oz states the Disney Muppet deal is probably what killed him as Frank Oz thinks.

I also love how the Muppets are on a vacation at Walt Disney World and Disney did not own the Muppets back then. If only it could be that way know. I don’t have a problem with Disney Muppet movie but being owned completely by Disney, the downside is that Kermit spends much less time on Sesame Street, no more of Kermit’s swamp years characters Goggles, Croaker, Blotch, and Pilgrim, and no more Kermit the frog being narrator of Jim Henson productions like Emmet Otter’s jug and Christmas or The Christmas Toy.

Back when the Muppets visited Walt Disney World but were not owned by the Disney Company. I wish it could still be like that. Because of Disney owning the Muppets we don’t get to see many non Disney Muppet Movies as much anymore, and Kermit the frog hardly appears on Sesame Street anymore.

The downside to Disney owning the Muppets is that we get no more non-Disney Muppet Movies, like Muppets from Space, It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie, The Muppets Take Manhattan, A Muppet Family Christmas Movie, or Kermit’s Swamp Years. It’s all because of Michael Eisner. Frank Oz believes that selling the Muppets to Disney is what killed Jim Henson. If some people miss the Jim Henson version of the Muppets, the non-Disney version, they would’ve stayed away from Walt Disney World.

Kermit didn’t grow up by the Swamp next to Walt Disney World, he lived farther in a swamp next to a dirt path. Just Watch Kermit’s Swamp Years (2002) and you will see. I wonder why Kermit’s nephew Robin wasn’t in that film.
