My condolences goes out to the family of our dearly beloved Sister Joy.. As being a member of IUIC for 5 years and being around all the brothers and sisters I do understand that this type of action is something that we teach against. The Bible say thou shall not kill and we stand strongly what the Bible say. Being apart of Iuic have changed my life drastic ways I used to be a fornicator, I used to steal and I was a gang member but through the guidance and council with the scriptures I was able to change all that and I am now married with a family and am building up the community where I used to do crime in and changing other young men and women who come from where I were. What people have to understand is the actions that one person may have done is not the reflection of all of us.

Thank you for beginning with your beloved sister joy. She was not my sister as I only saw her on t.v. The anger of most people in the educated black community is not coming from a place of wanting to overly criticize IUIC. It's because this sister was devoted to the IUIC family up to her death, and there is no real public or visible acknowledgment from the IUIC leadership that a "family"...a godly family does not just allow this kind of thing to happen to a devoted member and then only focus on defending itself instead of opening up to how and why such a thing happened so that it may never happen again later. I had a few family friends join this organisation. They had to come out in the end. They were ostracised for asking relevant questions that needed to be addressed. They were told what to wear who to buy from and who not to. One was being taught to basically turn her back on her mixed race children to follow them. When she questioned why in the congregation. She was treated despicably. The other members were told NOT to communicate with them all once they left. And were painted as disgruntled evil doers who had lost their way. There is so much more but too long to write. But not just my family but many others are treated like scum. Ive seen the treatment for myself and have had to help some pick up the pieces.
