Oh my days 🤯. Only glory to God for this talented bunch. In every performance i can just see their joy in performing, their facial expression says passion ☺. As a Christian who loves theatre I can just see how God's love is just tying them together as cast and as friends, to make such beautiful performances like these. ❤from NZ.

I'm, like, genuinely kinda floored at what these high school kids (and their director) are able to pull off. Granted, the vocals aren't perfect, but they're still good, and the acting has more than enough flair and believability to make up for it. Not to mention the choreography! The movement is dynamic and interesting. It almost effortlessly matches the escalation of the music, with all the town people increasingly pulled in by Hill's "song and dance" (pun intended), until they're moving in perfect sync along with him. Which, speaking of, I'm hugely impressed that the lead has good enough breath control to move around like that while singing such a fast song. The whole thing just *looks* great. Even the costumes and set! You don't see this level of visual polish very often from community theater or school productions. Y'all are a total delight to watch! It's a smaller number, but the school's rendition of "Sadder but Wiser Girl" is (almost) equally excellent. Anyway, this is a relatively silly thing to be so jazzed up about, but I see a lot of theater - professional and community - and really am always so disappointed at the lack of visual spectacle. Part of what makes live musical theater so special is how much freedom you're given artistically. And the marriage of the visual elements with the auditory and emotional is crucial: lights reflect and influence a scene's weight and meaning, choreography helps communicate the events of a song, and costumes establish setting and tone. I've noticed that many (if not most) shows really neglect to develop a coherent visual, despite how much attention is paid to vocals and acting. It's very cool to see a school production so clearly understand how all the pieces can and should work together.

That was brilliant with a capital B and great with a capital G, and those both rhyme with P, and that stands for pool!
