The Music - November 2007 Interview

An interview with Leeds band The Music, who discuss what they've been up to over the past few years and what the future holds for the band as they begin recording their third studio album in Townhouse Studios, London.
The interview was originally published on Tuesday the 27th of November 2007 on the band's official web site, www.themusic.co.uk , via its official KZbin Channel.
The background music is, "Drugs", scheduled to feature on the band's third studio album due for release in 2008.

Their new album is absolutely amazing. I was certainly expecting a lot but this album surpassed my expectations significantly. Why aren't they huge!?

It's one of their final demo versions of Drugs. This video was released shortly before recording for the third album begun.

Cannot believe these guys were actualy thinking of packing it all in, thank God they didn't. Cant wait for the 2008 release of the album and TOUR!!!!!

Yep, that sounds about right. The short NME column had, "ETA: April/May" at the bottom, so fingers crossed! Rob mentioned today on his MySpace that four tracks have now been mixed. It's getting closer...!

The Music are so underrated, they're so much better and talented than alot of those other boring predictable indie bands.

Easily the best, most original and powerful band to come out of the UK in recent times. So gald they came through what was obviously a tough time for them - nice one fellas - saw you in boro this month and you were awesome! Hurry back!!

In any case, it's the music that counts and not anyone's hairstyle. Don't you agree? ;)

He lopped it all off because his hairline was starting to recede. Even though he still had long hair, if you're losing it at the roots, it starts to look a bit patchy after a while. Ever seen that guy with the ponytail from Status Quo? Google him to see what I mean (or don't if you don't want your eyes burnt :p) Yes, the lack of hair was shocking at first. Rob undoubtedly looks more mature without the mop. I know he doesn't regret it at all.
