What a great vid. Terrific versions of all the pieces. Analogue with real players so it doesn't sound like lift music, and no ads! Thanks for uploading!

Adorei! Saudações aqui do Amapá - Amazônia - Brasil!

So they actually have both of those in Ireland? Interesting. Because I was just saying how these times were adopted a long time ago but Vermont and New England musicians. And they would mostly be played in barn dances and what we called "kitchen junkets" - house dances.

I indirectly have this music in my blood. I may will have actual Scots or Irish DNA, but my people have been from Vermont going back many generations, and most of these tunes, this style definitely, was adopted long ago by the Yankees, i assume by way of the Celtic element in Nova Scotia. You go to any old style kitchen junket or bath dance in Vermont 100 years ago, this is what you would have heard. No music moves me quite life s fiddle skirling through a dance tune. It makes me want to cry and dance at the same time.

If that's where your family has been for generations and generations, you're very, very likely to be of Albion's lineage. Different peoples prefer and produce different music sounds, b/c it resonates within us differently.

Okay isn't Congress Reel an American tune? I appreciate the unaffected way these are recorded as well. They didn't feel the need to fancy them up and go all crazy, they just played the music the old fashioned way and recorded it. That's the best way.

Gway you an amadán tusa. Trad is more popular than it has been in the past century headlining and filling out massive venues and festivals. Fair chance you're not even Irish yourself at all cause you'd know it if you were. Also plenty of immigrants picking up trad and their children too. Sure we'd an african lad visit us in school who ran absolute circles around us and our teachers speaking Irish which he learnt up north. Fuck back to your rock and stay under it with your racist fear mongering.
