There is much more on my channel. Dr. Benjamin Duvchene perfermed the Elegy of David for Israel's Independence Day, years ago. He said it brought an audience of 600 to tears - which had never happened to him before! kzbin.info/door/tt7fUa44hznWrEVQaBMCEA

This was neither - it was ancient Israel's music (and I mean 1440 BCE - 70 CE)!

What you can hear here is the results of years of research made by the French composer and musicologist Suzanne Haïk-Vantoura to reconstruct the music of the bible by using the te'amim. The te'amim are the cantillation marks of the Hebrew bible. Many think that they originally were a musical notation whom the meaning was lost. Suzanne Haïk-Vantoura tried to discover this lost meaning. She published the results of her research in a book : "La Musique de la Bible Révélée" ("The Music of the Bible Revealed"). In this book, she explains the method she was able to establish to decipher this te'amim. Thanks to this method, she was able to reconstruct what she considered to be the "original" melodies of the bible. She recorded some of them in several albums. This one being the first. Indeed, her theory was controversial and we cannot be really sure this was really the music of the bible. But considering how much serious research is behind this reconstruction, calling it simply a fake is...questionable.
