The album is very cute and love the design! But honestly, I wish it were a cd because CD sound quality is still unmatched compared to streaming services. When I listen to my cds, I can tell the sound is so much fuller, and we'll never have that now with hobi's album. CD's are like owning a "mastercopy".

@@rock.skz_tar what? but CD's doesn't add bass to the songs compared to the digital versions. Let me explain, mp3 128kbps, or even 320kbps doesn't have a cut on the low frecuencies, the cut is on the high frequencies, like at 20kHz. Even the lossless formats like Flac (which is the usual format for streaming services who offer high quality sound) doesn't add low frequencies, just keep the 20kHz+, an even the Hi-res formarts doesn't add low frequencies.

I like the design of this digital album but if the intent is to be more environmentally friendly, the best way to reduce the amount of waste from kpop albums isn't getting rid of photobooks or CDs, the best method would be to have one version of an album with only one photobook version and no random pc pulls....the random pulls are why people buy so many copies that end up being thrown away...they could still do the random pulls for fans by just selling these digital album versions that use less materials but I think having one full physical album would be nice for fans who like collecting them for reasons other than pcs...

aside pc, fans bought lot of albums to win fan meeting afaik, less variation of album means more thrown away album if the buyer won't bother to sell the album or not a lot of 2nd hand buyer. It's like bought 60 pcs, with 4 vers. means only need 15 buyers while 1 vers means need 60 buyers to sell (if 1 person buy 1 2nd hand album)

Plus J-Hope, I think, he added the detail of printed signature (at least it made most fans happy, I felt this when one of my fave manhwa - the author/publisher did it for the final volume)

I would have very much preferred a normal photobook album because as unique as it is, its really fragile and small, doesnt fit anywhere on my album shelf, and i wanted a photobook and cd too for my cd player, but im glad that he's getting the recognition he deserves.

thats true. i wish they would of included the photobook. idc for the cd. but the photobook would of been nice to receive as well. i was disappointed how they did his first full album as a digital 1. i was so up for buying all their albums for collecting. i didnt wanna spend the money on this since all the songs are on spotify anyways

Yeah, honestly it feels like album in kpop has starting to change so much. Although it's understandable for environment purpose. Most fans bought lot of albums for support, and other collecting pc (I think this album really a straight foward one 😆😆) but for those who like physical thingy, thing could be harder to accept :7

*hoseok is literally a musical genius. listeneing to this album from track 1 to 10, i can easily say, jack in the box makes it to top 10 best albums ever made. it's like listening to a new side of him. it's kinda like a story/ the depth of the music is insane. it is a darker concept but it gives hope too. i'm so proud of him. this album looks so pretty too. i would totally recommend watching the vlive hobi did, the interview on bangtantv, and IU's pallete interview to know in depth about his concept for the album. i'm actually in tears.*

The concept is unique and amazing. But i'd love to see at least 1 small booklet with photos. For its price it should have at least one small photobook with at leaat few pages like 10-15 pages would be fine for me. I ordered mine and still waiting and i was thinking how would I display it, it's so cute and great for displays. I just wish it would be thicker and have pages of photos of the MVs or jhope while creating the music or whatever. I just love BTS' photobooks.

I'm really disappointed by the lack of photobook for this album. It feels very lack luster without it. I wish they had done two versions, one like this (as it is quite innovative and unique) and an additional one for a more traditional album release

I agree. As an album collector, the lack of physical album left me flat. The music itself is amazing, just like it's creator. But Hybe really screwed Hobi on this whole "Weverse Album" bullsh!t. I would have gladly spent more to get a physical album. Plus I have an older car that I can download music onto by playing a cd once in it, but can't get my phone to connect, which is primarily where I listen to music. So I will rarely even get to enjoy it. So now my question is, will they do the same for the other 6 members solo albums? Or will they use Hobi as a guinea pig and then give all the others a physical album? Either way Hybe screwed Hobi big time.

Comprei o álbum para poder apoiar meu menino hobi, porém estou decepcionada com a hybe por não ter feito um álbum tradicional, as fotos o conceito é realmente muito lindo, e eles simplismente não usaram isso para fazer um photobook para o hobi; eu realmente espero que de TODOS OS OUTROS MEMBROS o álbum seja DA MESMA ESTÉTICA, porque se eles fizerem essa estética de álbum somente com o do jhope, será uma grande injustiça! Meu menino se esforçou muito e você pode ver isso nas músicas e no álbum dele, tanto carinho para com nós armys, o álbum é lindo! Sem dúvidas, porém não é com oque estamos acostumadas/o a ter, eu realmente espero que o dos outros membros também seja assim... e que eles não tenham feito dessa forma somente com o hobi, pois vou considerar uma sabotagem por parte da empresa! Já que para alguns charts específicos o álbum só conta se tiver CD físico.

Pinche hybe, quieren “ser más eco friendly” pero mandan en caja un paquete tan pequeño. Experimentaron y tomaron demasiados riesgos para el debut de Hobi. Se mmaron ~~ mínimo un photobook hubieran incluido para justificar el costo de envío tan alto para este lado del mundo. I know most of us were surprised that there was no CD version. The design of the Weverse QR Code album is super cute though. According to HYBE executives they did not create a CD for j-hope because they wanted to gain ESG (Environmental Social Governmental) points for the corporation which is a shame. However, I did order and receive my Jack in the Box vinyls!!!
