the magic scroll/acoustic levitation is actually somewhat feasible if you think about how magnetics, sound(tone/frequency), and our own electrical conduits nowadays actually work. i could see it being viable if you could find the right combo of the 3.

I hate that so much of humanity’s historical artifacts are either lost to time or have been destroyed by warring forces or ignorant individuals searching for personal riches. The library at Alexandria held immense volumes of ancient knowledge and culture, but it’s destruction by a conflicting society robbed us of the ability to know these precious secrets

Years ago, I read a story claiming just that. It seems a young boy, either wandered onto the property, or was some sort of errand boy for the man, but was prohibited from going onto certain pieces of the property. One day, he saw Me. Leedskalnin using a cone-shaped device and either chanting or singing, and the boy watched as a huge rock floated in the air. The boy told his father, or some other adult male what he witnessed. Of course, they didn’t believe him. A friend of mine visited the place, and I saw pictures. It’s quite remarkable.

The idea that sound can move an object is hardly new. It's the kind of thing you'd notice as a child, particularly if you were surrounded by large groups of people chanting, playing horned instruments, or drumming. Lifting it and holding it in place (which is what I assume 'acoustic levitation' to be) is different. But if you wanted to speculate how large objects could be moved into place in a time thousands of years before your own you might wonder if sound 'magic' was used.

@@FlattardiansSuck "Acoustic levitation is a method for suspending matter in air against gravity using acoustic radiation" - So I was right about what it is. Similarly to this video, only with a considerably longer format. (30/45mins/hourish if you were feeling particularly generous and cheeky lol) I realize you cant dish out content quite as regularly in doing so, but i still think itd be pretty great to listen to you do a thorough investigation on a singular fascinating topic once in a while. 😊
