The moon is one of, probably the most rewarding object to look at in my opinion. I love the views through youe 12” dobsonian, the one I have is only 6 inches but still provides strikingly clear views of the moon. I’m tempted to upgrade now!

The moon is one of the best objects especially when you live in a city, it is not affected by light pollution, each day reveals a new section so you can have a schedule, and you can see so many details even with small telescopes; It is more enjoyable when you learn more about the moon's features and the dimensions of them, sometimes I imagine the scale of my country and city and project them on what I see in the moon or vice versa 😄

That's right. Light pollution can't blow up the views of the Moon :)

I was amazed with the views with the 3.5mm. Tonight i will push it a bit more barlowing my 9mm. From 430x yesterday to 600x. You should try to find the Reiner Gamma. It's the time now. Nice visual challenge.

I will! I didn't know of these lunar swirls and it's important to know what you're watching to make it more interesting. My purpose for this year is to dedicate more time to "neglected" objects such as moon, sun, double and "special" stars..

Managed to connect my canon camera to sharp cap software via usb and canon webcam software. Let's see if I can do EAA with a dslr

7:28 wouldnt asi 224 be better for close up if it has smaller sensor? I'm just thinking cuz then you wouldn't have to use barlow lens which kinda decreases quality

Yes the 224 is a nice camera to the moon features and may do an interesting work near infrared. i might test that in a live stream.The focus is to the astonishing visual views though.

Very interesting Tiago, I love watching the moon very nicely done on video....another thing you may be interested in are lunar domes, there are hundreds of them but hard to find because they are very illusive. Some are easier. I will enjoy your moon project alot.
