Dialogue delivery in these old movies is so cheezy. Nobody talks like that, then or now.

It's called elocution... If you were in theater/film/showbusiness you most certainly did speak this😅 way. Movies have never showcased reality... It has always been about escapism & entertainment. Performance speaking is/ was an art form & some actors do speak like this especially in theater, which is where all film actors came from back in the beginning of talking films (Talkies). I'd advise checking into a history of theater & early film history classes. It's inspiring & you'll educate yourself so you don't make such errors in the future with your opinion stated in public. Live & learn as they say.
