Sooner or later we would forget about our cultures and nothing will be pass down to our children all in the name of 'BORROW BORROW foreign cultures and religion. Showcase the traditional wedding ceremonies within the cultures that make up “Nigeria”. No need to imitate European wedding traditions in either ceremonies or clothing. As an African from the Southern part of the continent, l am profoundly proud to see some resemblance to our traditional dances, the sounds of the African drums, as well as the costumes. Africa is surely one land, whose people have one African soul. Beautiful ! I love it when I see Africans standing tall with their necks stretched out like ostriches, with pride and simply be unapologetically African , without emulating foreign religions and cultures. There's a way the lion inside you wakes up when you hear the original Ohafia/Bende music with the ram horn; and then the majestic foot works - all missing. No Ohafia or Abiriba or any part of Igboland ties or used to put on such round headtie or wore such animal skin pattern around the waist. Period.
