Is a weapon such as this why Kashin Koji chose the sand siblings to assist Sarada and Konohamaru with the awakened shinju like Ryu?

Here’s my theory. The only Shinju that Kashin Koji mentioned that was UNBEATABLE was specifically Jura. He never said the other Shinju couldn’t be defeated, only that success in actually taking them down isn’t high. (I.E Hidari got taken out) Where I’m going with this is, we might be underestimating Konohamaru. I believe Kashin Koji saw that the tag team between the 4 of them could potentially defeat Ryu, while Konohamaru is gonna 1v1 Matsuri. The issue wasn’t ever possibilities, but whether or not they could pull it off.

🤔🤔Yes. They have some specific counter jutus to ryu's iron sand that can be useful. Sarada- has the sharingan so she can see each iron sand particle and find some weakness. Like maybe they work with magnetism. She also has the Mangekyo Sharingan. Yodo- has sound jutsu so she can make the iron sand particles vibrate so fast that they either liquify or lose magnetism like how Flash from DC uses super speed to defy physics laws or liquify stuff. Mitsuki- has no iron in his blood bc he is a clone. So the iron sand doesn't attract to him to coat him and control him. He also has the sage mode. Araya- has his special sword and knows all puppet tricks. All in all, it is a pretty good team.

I think it would be a really cool full circle moment if we found out this blade was imbued by Shukaku in order to help save Gaara and Shinki. It would open the door to introduce potentially crazy Bijuu Blades or weapons imbued with Kekkai Genkai, and that in itself just sounds cool. The tailed beasts are amalgamations of nature energy, those weapons would be perfect to use on Shinju.

In a way, this is a retelling of the immortal duo arc. The writers are tackling the chakra nature cycle in a more advanced way. First Konohamaru with his Rasen Barrier and now Arya!? I'm sorry, but I'm convinced Lord 6th is popping up in a few chapters. The man developed two techniques that were specifically made to challenge the status quo.

Okay hear me out - what if his sword has the same effect as the shinobi who could use the technique where he magnetizes his weapon and it follows the target. So that if he let's say slashes the sand it becomes magnetized (the portion of the sand slashed) and thus he can control it. I dunno, just spit-ballin'

I think boruto haters are just made that boruto and its series does more then the naruto series. So if i remember correctly, Shiki has lightning release and black iron. He can electro magnetism which he can use to fight as seen in the first chuunin exams finals when he was fighting against boruto and sarada. I guess the blade is perfect, because it might be the perfect counter to disrupt whatever electromagnetism and magnetic attacks that Ryu may have.

Well actually no he explicitly said he didn't think he'd have to use the sword like this. I don't think it was intended to be used against a magnet style user but rather to help him fight alongside him and do cool combo attacks. It just so happens that it's helpful in sealing the magnet release due to its abilities. But that was somehow supposed to benefit the both of them. So I think his just using it in a different way than what was intended

🚨🚨I think Araya's sword is made of the same material from swords used by the seven swordsmen of the mist, especially that guy that was itachi's partner in the akatsuki (the one before kisame, he had bandages and he died with the sword impaling his stomach). That sword was made of iron and could rematerialize using the iron in the someone's blood. I think suigetsu had it too at some point. I also think Araya's sword is made from a material that demagnetizes or rusts the iron sand.

Seems like araya is used to dealing with shinki and yodo shenanigans. Araya saving yodo and telling ryu to behave reminded me of kankuro and temari calming gaara down to make sure he doesn't destroy everything and everyone. From a story perspective, having yodo and araya in the rescue mission makes sense since we can learn more about them and shinki. In real life, yodo and araya wouldn't be sent there (not without other sand ninjas at least) due to conflicts of interests and ptsd. Hopefully yodo will improve later on. Araya's design reminds me of shino; just hope he doesn't get treated like shino later in the series. Does anyone know how old shinki, yodo, and araya are in respect to the other boruto characters?

And in a story written by Kishi/ikemoto, the first chapters of a arc are set up chapters used to set the plot for the finale of that arc. 🤔🤔I think the sword is magnetic to only shinki/ryu's iron sand. I think araya developed this jutsu when he was training with Shinki to work alongside Shinki's Iron sand, not against it. So it won't be that much effective. Ryu will devour Araya bc he is the only one with a counter jutsu. I think that will make Ryu also have Araya's ability making him seem unstoppable.
