I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is January 6. It is The Epiphany of Our Lord. Ephesians 3:1-12 is usually read on this day. So now, what began back on November 27, the First Day of Advent, has come to a close, as this ushers out the Christmas Season for another year. The trees have been thrown out (or hopefully recycled), or have been put away into the closet, attic, basement or wherever for the year with the other decorations. And I'm sure that yesterday (Sunday), churches across the US also took down their decorations and put them away. Christmas is now over. But we will pick it back up on November 27, 2020, and my church will be decorated again on or around December 9. And here is hoping that everyone reading this had a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and that you all continue to be blessed as the newness of the New Year begins to wear off. I grew up Catholic and Ephesians is translated a bit different, but the meaning remains the same. Peter definitely has the gift of storytelling and explaining.

Thank you Peter I really needed to hear this today. Sometimes, I think He isn't there and than..... this happens. God is always in control and His plan is bigger than I expect or deserve.

I have been listening to your sermons over the last few weeks. I suddenly lost a friend, and as always, it draws you closer to God and his comfort. Hearing that God's plan is bigger than ours is good to hear, even when you know that he is, as always, perfectly executing his perfect plan in his perfect time. We just need to walk in faith believing! Thank you, Peter!

(HUG) Peter this was so awesome and this message touched my heart....I love the way you reveal GOD'S message to us.The tapestry of our life every twist and turn, woven through all our life, all the problems, all the pain, all the knots,, loops, and tangles, all the sickness, all the difficulties, and hurt we go through - the grace and power of Christ in us strengthens us and gives us courage and hope. I can't wait to see the "beautiful tapestry" when our FATHER turns the tapestry over and we see what all the broken areas in our life created! PRAISE JESUS Joshuah 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Hi Peter. I was impressed with your message and style of preaching. I was raised in a split household (Lutheran mom, Jewish Dad) and studied religion in college (not my major but took as many classes as I could, many by Rabbis, Ministers, Priests, etc). I sent a link to your sermon to my uncle who is a retired Bishop in the Lutheran Church (ELCA). He watched and said: "Karin, Just for you, I watched Peter Frey's "Mystery of Grace." It took about 35 minutes to listen to it all. He is an excellent preacher and I could not find any criticism in what he is saying. He says it well and he knows how to frame a sermon by telling you about trying to put together the IKEA furniture pieces and how the assembling of the mysterious facts of our life will come together if we just trust in Jesus and the church. I like his theology and particularly his emphases on Jesus, the Church, the love of God that he has shown through us in the sacrifice of our Lord. This is grace and salvation. I live by one principle: "Man/woman only needs Jesus Christ." He died for us all and he will save us from our sins." Continue to listen to him. I think he will help you a lot." (Huge fan of Frye Life. Personally not CF, but EDS - Ehlers Danlos Syndrome with 30+ joint surgeries. Love my Overcomer bag. I suggest shirts with that. Great message, Peter! I'm not always able to make it to my church due to work obligations, so i love being able to watch your sermons on KZbin. My boyfriend and i are going to be out your way in mid December to go to a Fireplace Feast at the Salem Cross Inn which happens to be on a Sunday afternoon. We're going to try to make it out to see you preach that morning. Hopefully everything works out for us to make it. :-)
