Good riddance. What's the mystery? Sorry LSSQ, but this show was pretentious, the characters were not likeable, the plot was confusing and the show didn't know what it wanted to be. There are ways to make comedy-drama-action shows, Swat Kats, Danny Phantom, Megas XL-R (first season at least), She-Ra 2018, just to name a few, but this wasn't, it didn't had any balance on that like other shows do, it seemed like a bunch of ideas thrown together and crammed to the max in an anime wannabe. Maybe the cancellation and lack of merchandize prototypes doesn't make sense to you, but for me it makes a whole lot of sense. Don't take it personal, just like you have your opinion on it, I have mine.

It honestly did not feel like such a short series. The lore, the world building, the mysteries, the character development/relationships were all top notch I got really invested. I remember waiting after the finale for the second season. And waited... and waited. I believe I can guess a few of the mysteries, like Lance's father possibly being the mysterious figure that rebooted Octus (a stretch but not out of the realm of possibility). Others have you itching for more information like General Modula's reasons for his betrayal. He was a loyal friend to the king, yet claims he was left to die, but something seems off about him like he's keeping something to himself - something that the king is aware of. There was a lot of potential left in this show and Gendy seemed to have something big planned. Hopefully we can see the return of Titan one day

Those are, with no doubt, the two main questions that have struck a cord with me again while rewatching the show, who was the person who rebooted Octus, and what is left for General Modula, I bet that isn't him, that it's an evil alien shapeshifter who took control and shape of Modula and it uses him for it's bidding

I'm still wondering why CN tried to sabotage Beware the Batman as hard as it did. Lackluster advertisement, announcing the premiere literally two weeks before, no primetime premiere like many of the DC cartoons usually get, pulling it out of airing after 11 episodes, sabotaging Toonami's airing of new episodes, etc. Unlike Young Justice, Green Lantern, Thundercats, and this show, we never got an answer for it.
@Merdicano4 жыл бұрын
That was so incredibly odd, like really odd how they did that to that show, back in early 2014 they showed these previews of the upcoming shows, and there was a snippet of Batman, but here in Latin America it never once, never aired at all, like that was probably an even worse scenario compared to what happened with ThunderCats 2011 where there was a lot of merchandise being sold like notebooks and folders, but I only vividly remember the show having aired only two weeks, only literally two weeks and then gone

I was thinking about this a lot recently as I just watched the entire season on Netflix last week. Love the show, but after a decade I noticed it was way more violent and mature than I remember. It has so much potential and character development, it should have never been a kids show, it should have been on Adult Swim from the start. Part of me thinks its violence and mature jokes made a perfect excuse to end the show, but I like that stuff. I really appreciate the deep meaning in "I am Octus," it was moving philosophically. However, think about it logically; why promote a show ly Sym-Bionic or Thundercats when you have LEGO versions of essentially the same concepts (Ninjago, NEXO Knights, and Chima?) It makes logical sense, considering the fact that Chima and Ninjago both came out around the time Sym-Bionic was airing (2013 and 2011 respectively.) You seem to be forgetting the fact that Adventure Time was already airing at the time, and had been for over a year. Coincidentally, Steven Universe and Teen Titans GO! Never a fan of mecha shows but his was one of the bestest shows I've ever seen in my entire life. So disappointed it's was thrown to the trash so quickly and it barely even reached a year old...

Let us not forget the "Shake it, bake it, booty quake it" scene. That might have explained why "Sym Bionic Titan" was cancelled because of some sexual innuendos that took place.

I highly doubt that one scene could be the cause for cancellation. That scene was pretty controversial though.

Meh. I liked that scene.

Oh man, I almost forgot about Sym-Bionic Titan. I was pretty young when it came out, probably like 10, but I remember trying to catch new episodes while it was airing whenever I could. Sadly, as I was the youngest of 3 and my siblings didn't like action cartoons at the time, I couldn't always get control of the TV at the right time. I'm totally going to rewatch it now that I know it's on Netflix, though.

I thought the show was pretty cool. I was sad that it up and got canceled. I never thought it was because of the merch but I also never thought it was because Genndy left. I just assumed CN just didn't like action cartoons anymore.

If Samurai Jack can finally get the ending it deserved, I hold a sliver of hope that we'll get one for Titan.

I remember watching this show with my Dad from the premiere to the last episode. It was a new, fresh take on a classic genre and I thought it was easily the best show on the network at that time. That's why I so disappointed and confused once it stopped airing new episodes and then all together. I still wish Tartakovsky would continue and end the series the way he wanted to, especially with it now being on Netflix. I think he could really take advantage of the streaming platform to do just that. We'll see- here's to hoping...

Yes! It was a great show- would be well worth making those last 10 episodes. Dang, I wondered where this one had gone as I'm an adult and I really enjoyed the show.

Cartoon Network writing off Sym Bionic Titan sounds very strange because Ilana and Octus (two of the main protagonists of the series) made cameo appearances in the OK K.O.! episode, Crossover Nexus. Not to mention, the series was referenced in the Craig of the Creek episode, Kelsey the Elder.

@@michaelflores9220 It's been some time that I finished the show so I don't remember the exact number, but my favorite ones are the one where time stops and Newton goes on an existential crisis and the Phantom Ninja one. This show is too good, it deserves so much love

That was a massive tragedy and great loss for TV, and CN was too stupid to even recognize it. I remember wanting to watch on a Wednesday evening around the time it was heading to its end, and I was confronted with Johnny Test of all things - no warning whatsoever that they were only airing the show on Saturday Morning from then on - and then dropping it afterwards. It didn't even say that they moved it right before the switch, the schedule still showed it was airing. Let's just say it was a good thing I didn't know where to find the people responsible for that decision at the time.

Wait! SBT was created by tartakovsky? Incredible! But yeah it sucks that not only Symbionic Titan but Robotomy was cancelled too soon as well. I enjoyed both tbh and found out about robotomy on 2012’s Cartoon Planet (during my middle school years) because I didn’t have cable from 2010-2011 so Cartoon Planet was the only way to catch them

I discovered this show on netflix, and i mistakenly thought it was a new show made by netflix, and thought it was only the first season, and as my gf and I watched it, we both loved it, and was excited for the next season, come to find out after finishing it, it was cancelled years ago, tears and rage ensued. :(
