Probably irrelevant, but since Greek-Roman stuff is starting to be relevant in the plot, I would like to point out Roman poet Horatius' famous quote: "Aere perennius" ("a monument more lasting than bronze"). He somehow believed that, despite his death, his poetry would make him immortal. This could be applied to Border Carnival's themes and the commoditization of idols referenced in the video. Perhaps they have to sacrifice their ordinary mortal lifes in order to become immortal idols. Perhaps the throne (which may well be made out of bronze....) simply represents fame and the pain that comes with it.

all i can say is that, hybe artists' are really hyperbolic✊🏻🤧 i mean look, their artists' songs have deep meanings but it's hard to understand since the whole thing in their music videos are kinda conveying a message that in the first impression, you would literally think that it's not connected to the lyrics. then on the second time you played the music video(incase y'all doing thid after watching the whole video lmao because me? yes! i'm doing that) you will finally connect the lyrics to the happenings in the music video and you'll slowly understand the message conveyed between the lyrics and the happenins in that MV. for me as a fan, it all started in BTS hahahaha their songs are deep then when i met TXT it's also the same “hyperbolic” then to ENHYPEN again, “hyperbolic” pfft. anyways, this is just my opinion based on what i observed to them✊🏻🤧 it's about hybe's artists🤧

I think sunoo is Odysseus and the girl shown in dd mv who pours the blood I think she's scylla and since sunoo/Odysseus chose scylla. Scylla is controlling/hypnotising him we can see in dd mv there sunoo acts as if someone is controlling him !? And remember in fever mv when heeseung gets pulled by something and it looks like tentacles so I think scylla caught him since scylla kills the rest of 6 mens of Odysseus!? I don't know if that make sense lol !

MY THEORY OF FEVER M/V in greek mythology, a coin (obol) symbolizes as a bribe or payment for the greek demon charon for him to deliver departed people in the after life using a boat. families of the departed loved one would put a coin on the eyes/mouth of the dead person's body, because they believe it secures the person's arrival in the after life. in fever mv, ni-ki offered a necklace with a coin-like pendant on sunghoon's mouth. sunghoon might be one of odysseus' ( who may be heeseung or sunoo) comrades who died in their battle with scylla and charybdis, which explains why he's always biting a necklace in fever mv.(2)

Here's what i've gathered by myself from the intro: "In order to get to the treasure, we've either get to go through a brooding monster or a swirling tornado." This part really matches up with the greek mythology theme they're going with their album versions. The brooding monster and swirling tornado mentioned in the intro are the descriptions of both Charybdis and Scylla, who are sea monsters in Greek mythology. They were a part of Homer's Odyssey where it tells the journey of the Greek hero Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, trying to go back to his home after the Trojan War. I guess that enhypen are gonna be the ones portraying Odysseus. Now it's interesting that the album is titled, Dimension:Dilemma because Dilemma means facing a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two alternatives, especially equally undesirable ones. The dilemma that they'll have to face in this dimension they find themselves in (since they were sucked into a wormhole from what we've learned in the Border:Carnival album, Outro: Wormhole) are Charybdis and Scylla. There is an idiom deriving from Greek mythology about Charybdis and Scylla, saying that being between the two sea monsters has been associated with the proverbial advice "to choose the lesser of two evils". And then Jake narrates the second to the last line, "Whatever we choose, we've got to run." Meaning whatever enhypen decides to choose when they face Charybdis and Scylla (the ones portraying their dilemma in this journey) is unpredictable and that running away sounds like their only best option.

Hi Laina! So, i saw this theory on twitter that I really wanted to share with you. A lot of people are saying that Sunghoon's and Niki's scene in Fever (Where Niki puts a necklace/coin in Sunghoon's mouth) is a reference to a Greek Myth called "Charon's Obol", where they placed a coin in a dead person's mouth before burial so that they could pay Charon to get in the boat across the underworld river (if you search it you'll probably understand it better, i just can't really explain it with my non native english) Anyways! The thing is, that means Sunghoon probably "died" after that bloody room scene in D-D and somehow, Niki and his Chain/Coin/Necklace made Sunghoon heart beat again. Now, does that mean that Niki is powerful? Or that Sunghoon is maybe Mortal again, hence the beating heart? Loved today's video by the way!💛

I can just see Hybe storyboard team sitting in a room around a table and being like, “what if instead of this, they choose that?” And that allows more creativity too, since nobody knows what would happen to Odysseus if he chose the other monster

the thing about scylla and charybdis is that they were in the same part of the sea, they were like a package. the sailors didn't have many options if they didn't have the favor of the gods, it was being swallowed by charybdis or being killed by scylla. if you were able to avoid charybdis in the sea you'd get killed by scylla, who was next to her, hiding in a clift or something similar

Laina, first of all thank you so much for your hard work and always providing us with theories😊 Second, I wonder if enhypen can be in the sun because, as Jake said in Outro: The Wormhole, "there might be a world where day and night co-exist". This makes me wonder if maybe the "magic island" is that world because as you said, it is a place where dreams come true. And obviously vampires are immortal beings and with the recurring themes of power it just seems to fit... also I noticed something else in the FEVER mv, during the dance scene where the boys are in the hall (I'm not sure what it is) one side has a bright light coming through the windows and the other side is dark as if it is night...which also supports the day and night co-existing theory. However, I still wonder how the boys have reflections in the Japanese version of Given-Taken... I don't know, I'm not great with theories but those are some thoughts😅
