Because there is a bunch of money on the sidelines. The suggestion that the wealthy have just played their hand and disclosed all their assets and or are utilizing all their assets is a bit ridiculous.

Re: China, the Chinese don't invest in stocks, they invest in real estate. There are tens of millions of empty domiciles that they can't find people to inhabit. Who knows how many of these empty homes are financed and how many are owned outright, but they aren't going to buy more real estate with this new stimulus because they aren't making anything from the property they already own. Dan is absolutely correct that their problems will not be fixed by this new stimulus.
@jhshao8435Ай бұрын
Lol, I am chinese and let me correct you on this, this big stimulus package want to do following few things: boost their stock market by regaining investor confident, stabilize the declining real estate market and yes not necessarily getting the real estate back to previous high but more to stop the bleed, and lastly to boost consumer confidence to shop more😂😂😂
@aliasomaАй бұрын
@@jhshao8435 Your being Chinese has nothing to do with the facts and figures. We already know what the stimulus is designed to do. The problem is that this stimulus is too similar to previous attempts that amounted to nothing. Dan was 100% correct in his assessment and he isn't the only investment professional to say this, including those based in Beijing. The only way I see this having any effect longer than a short term boost to some stock prices is if the money issued to the poor gets spent buying the products/services of the listed companies. If they hold it or spend it more locally, the stock prices are coming right back down. Remember they only went up on speculation, not realized returns.
